Glossybox Double Feature

The holidays are finally here!!! My first holidays as a teacher. :-) And this means that I finally have time to catch up on my Glossyboxes.

A week ago I got the lovely Christmas box and before that the monthly box. So enjoy the overload on pictures. *gg*

Let's start with the Christmas box. :)

Let's go into detail.

Alessandro's Christmas Time hand cream, it smells incredible. Like cinnamon and apples, I love it.

Nails inc. "Victoria" nail polish:

Babor Silky Eyeshadow Stick in "c'est bon"

Matrix Shampoo & Conditioner, I love their hair products!!

Moschino "Chic Petals" sample

and Renu's Lip and Eye Lift cream

Overall, I'm happy with this box. The nail polish, the hair products and the handcream are my favorites. They are great and especially the Matrix products are perfect for travelling.

For the other items, I'm not so convinced. A lip and eye cream? It kinda doesn't fit together for me and so far the shadow stick didn't last on my lids and the coverage isn't the best. I haven't tried the perfume sample so far, some of you know I get headaches from perfume. :-(

Let's take a look at the other box!

A full win! A box just as I like it.

Gliss Kur hair repair treatment. I've heard a lot of good stuff, so I can't wait to try it. :-)

Couvrance Mascara:

Emite eyeshadow in "Damis":

Misslyn nail polish in "blackberry":

The Body Shop Cranberry shower gel:

and Chloé perfume sample

This box is awesome. A good mix. You get everything, make up, body products and nail polish. What do you want more. I'm happy. :)

You can get your Glossybox here.

I hope you have a great weekend. Christmas is almost here!!

Rocking Oktoberfest

Today, I have the pleasure to be one of the bloggers that finishes the Oktoberfest week.

Lovely Petra had the idea to do a theme week. So Hannah, Katii, PixiPetra, Julia, Eva-Maria and Vicky each did a post on the famous Oktoberfest. Today, it's my and Vicky's turn.

I decided to take a different look at the famous Oktoberfest. While there are all those classic colours that come to mind: blue, white, rose etc. Oktoberfest is all about partying in the end.

So, here is my rocking Oktoberfest manicure for you.

Nevertheless, I feel like you need to see a "Dirndl" here. *g* Since I don't have one, I'll show you a selfie of my beautiful sister wearing hers.

Have you ever been to the Oktoberfest? I haven't, but well, I don't drink alcohol and am not that fond of drunk crowds so I'm fine. *g*

I hope you liked my post and don't forget to check out the others from my blogger friends. Just click on their names and you'll be right there. :-)

Love,
Guinevere

Alessandro Peachy Cinderella

Yesterday, I was at my parents and saw this lying around, I just had to use it. I think it was in one of her Glossyboxes.

It's named Peachy Cinderella and really pretty.

The only drawback was the application. Streaky and uneven, all in all, I got it to show up nicely, but it definitely could be better. Like it?

The Marionnaud Exchange Experience

Hey guys,

These pics were waiting to be posted for quite a while now, but I always forgot.. But tonight's the night!

After christmas I bought a Helena Rubinstein Mascara (the one with the leo print) and a Chanel Rouge Allure Laquer - and never used them. You know my "worship" thing, but the longer those two were lying around, the more I thought about exchanging them for something else. 34€ for a mascara is sooo much and after I bought the new Mac Peacocky lipglosses, which are soo much like the Rouge Allure Laquers, I decided to try it.

I went there and asked if it would be possible - cause I didn't have the receipt anymore, but the Marionnaud price stickers were still on the products. The woman I talked to said it's fine. I came back another day, she had the day off and the other saleswoman agreed quite reluctantly, but at least she did. So I started looking.

I needed a lot of time, which they obviously disliked, but in the end I chose these:

Alessandro nail polish Nr. 202:

An amazing Smashbox set, which was on sale for only unbelievable 15€. :-) I will a do an extra post about it.

I always wanted one of those YSL lipsticks, such beautiful packaging!!

AND the Harajuku perfumes recently got a new outfit and the old ones were on sale for only 5€ each, those were the ones they had left, I was soooo happy, I love the packaging!! So cute.. What a bargain!

Word of advice:
If you ever go to Marionnaud, please bring cash, otherwise they freak out easily.. I had to pay 40 cents and I didn't have cash with me, I never have, I'm an unemployed student for fuck sake, and after rifling through my bag I was short 8 cents. What an embarassing situation..

So I said I just get some money from the cash machine across the street, so I wouldn't bother her with my searching any longer, but I obviously had reached her breaking point.. She told me that would block the cash desk too long (the store was empty) and she rather pay the 8 cents by herself and gave me a look that said: Leave and never come back!

Well, I know which Marionnaud store I will never enter again..
