Review: Jean Paul Gaultier "Le Male"

A little while ago I was surprised by this incredibly cool package. Jean Paul Gaultier released a new video clip for their iconic perfumes and sent me this to get the full experience.

Besides some awesome accessoires, there was the "Le Male" perfume. I was a bit confused at first. A male perfume for a female blogger?

But before we talk about the scent in detail, let's look at this incredible packaging.

I can't help it, but this is one naughty bottle. *gg*

The cool extras:

Before I go into detail, you should see this spot:

How cool is this video??

Now let's talk about the scent. I really, really like it.

Sadly, after the initial excitement that I got a male perfume, my husband realized the scent is nothing for him. His verdict: "way too sweet".

I don't mind that, but I understand him. The main notes are orange, ginger, vanilla, lavender, rose and amber.

I must admit I wish I would have gotten the female version. I tried it at my Müller and loved it and look at that packaging:

Do you own "Classique" from Gaultier? What do you think about it?

Thanks Gaultier for letting me try it. :)

Review: Puma Sync

Puma released two new fragrances "Sync Man" and "Sync Woman". Let's take a look at them:

Pretty, right? But they aren't just pretty on the outside. They smell gorgeous! Summery and fresh. My favorite kind of scent.

Let's start with "Sync Woman": The first scent that reaches your nose is a fresh peach and right after that the floral scents come through, but without being heavy. I love it.

The details:
Head Notes: berries, papaya, tangerine,
Middle Notes: Lotus flower, water chestnut
Base Notes: peach, amber, sandalwood

The male fragrance is wonderful as well. My boyfriend stole it immediately and I love it on him. It's fresh and "manly" at the same time.

The details:
Head Notes: lime, green notes, bergamot
Middle Notes: rosemary, lavender, geranium
Base Notes: amber, cedar, guaiac wood

I definitely recommend it. :-)

Love,
Guinevere

Review: CK One Shock Street Edition!

Happy Sunday guys!

This is really cool - I got my first eau de toilettes to review and not just any. The new and limited ck one shock street editions. Oh how I love special and pretty things. *g*

Before I talk about them, let's get ourselves some eye candy. The bottles were designed by two street artists, a talented woman from the Bronx and a hip guy from Spain. I really like the "for him" design, but I loooove the "for her" bottle.

It comes with a normal bottle top and of course you get a spray pump as well.

Now on to the difficult part - describing the scents. I wish I could keep it simple and just say - they both smell great. *gg*

Let's start with the Street Edition for her:

It's a very sweet, floral scent I wouldn't usually go for, but it's not heavy or overpowering when used moderately. It smells really special, a mix between floral notes and caramel. I'm not an expert, but it feels unique.

Details for our experts:
top notes: tangerine, orange, bergamot, a hint of plum
heart notes: caramelised berries and chocolate donut *gg*
base notes: sandalwood, amber, patchouli, musk

Street Edition for him:

My boyfriend stole this as soon as he saw it and wore it every day ever since. :-) For me, it smells fresh, masculine and after it sets a bit you also smell toffee. I love it.

Details:
top notes: mojito, cucumber
heart notes: spices, geranium, in cocoa dipped raspberries *gg*
base notes: chocolae-tonka bean, a hint of vanilla and caramel

I can recommend both, they are lovely. The eau de toilette for her is a tad sweet and I wouldn't have bought it, but I'm happy to have it. The scent for him is gorgeous. A perfect gift for your man.

They are limited edition and now available at Douglas. Prices: 50 ml 29,90€ 100ml 39,90€ Thanks again to CK for sending me those.

Love,
Guinevere
