A little while ago I received the Burt's Bees beewax lip balm. :-) Let's take a look:
It's the original lip balm which they released in 1991. It's available in a tube form and in this tin. It smells super nice and feels comfortable. It's full of vitamin E and peppermint oil.
It gives you a really cooling, refreshing feeling. Makes it quite interesting for men. My husband stole it and now he can't find it anymore..
I found it really hard to get enough product on my lips. It's a bit weird. The other thing is the tin design. It's not really sanitary. It's a good product, but my favorite Burt's Bees lip balm is the Ultra Conditioning one:
It's easier to use, more sanitary and really moisturizes my lips. If you prefer the cool peppermint feeling - the beewax lip balm is also avaiable in a tube. :)
I got this little guy a few weeks ago and immediately tested it. Lip balms are one of the ultimate beauty basics used by everyone.
Burt's Bees recently launched a new nourishing series consisting of four products.
A Milk & Shea Butter body wash, an Ultimate Care body lotion and hand cream and this Ultra Conditioning lip balm.
Let's take a look at it:
It is full of great ingredients such as kokum, cocoa and shea butter and doesn't have a scent. It's really soft and scientifically proven to moisturize your lips up to four hours.
I was surprised how immediately my lips absorbed it, it felt like they are drinking it. It made my lips soft and lovely. There's not really much more to say. I think it's a great lip balm, but I'm not sure if I would trust it to be strong enough to heal cracked lips. If you have serious troubles with your lips I still would recommend my beloved bebe young care intensive care lip balm.
If you need a new lip balm, it's deifnitely worth checking out. It costs 3,95€ and is available at Müller.
I never used anything like it before, it's a body soap that you use instead of your shower gel. I know Lush makes them as well, but I don't like Lush, so I haven't tried one. Let's take a closer look:
It's huge *gg*
Comparison:
As said I had high expectations and unfortunately those weren't really met. While it has a nice cranberry smell when being dry, as soon as it gets wet I smell nothing, but the classic scent of soap and it's not a smell I like.
It does make a nice lather and it certainly is sufficient to clean yourself, but no foamy bubbles. Not really a surprise, but I wished there would be at least a few.
In a nutshell, it cleans well and this soap bar will last you for ages. In addition, it's a great product for travelling, but it smells like classic soap without another scent and doesn't foam at all. I want a nice smell while showering and without foam I don't truly feel clean.
Therefore, this is nothing for me. I don't have comparison soaps, so this is a quite specific review. I don't wanna say all body soaps are like that, I can only talk about this one.
Recently, Burt's Bees released Tinted Lip Balms and I had the pleasure to test one of them. Some pictures before the review:
When you pull out the packaging this rose second cover is revealed with their philosophy written on it in several languages, so cute!
The balm I got is called Hibiscus:
Beautiful!!
A before and after comparison which gives you an idea of the coverage:
Pretty, right?
Now on to the review:
I truly like it! It's a perfectly balanced product. The right mix between lip balm and colour and 100% natural.
It reminds me a bit of a MAC Slimshine with a more waxy texture. It looks shiny, healthy and the colour looks natural, but still has this balmy feeling to it.
I really feel it for about two hours and after that it slowly fades away. It could be longer, but I think it's okay. It doesn't really have a scent, the only one I could smell, if I tried hard gg was the scent of bee wax.
For the moisturing aspects I'd say it's okay. It's not as moisturising as a pure lip balm would be, but definitely more moisturising than a lipstick or Slimshine or a Labello which does nothing for me at all, I hate Labellos..
If you have cracked lips this product won't be enough to heal does cracks, but if you're lips are fine or a bit on the drier side this little fella will protect them.
Would I recommend them?
Definitely!
Those are 8€ and contain 4,25 grams.
