Review: Ebelin Make Up & Concealer Brush

I already showed you that we finally have the Make Up & Concealer brush here and now it's review time.

Let's take a closer look:

My thoughts:

I really like it. It's packed with a ton of fibres, but it's not stiff or feels hard on the skin. I read some reviews where people found it too harsh, but in my opinion it's totally fine.

The prize is another plus, 3,95€ for a good stippling brush - hell yeah!

Look by Bipa's New Brushes!!

When I strolled around my favorite Bipa store I saw these:

Two new brushes by the Look by Bipa brush range! In the awesome pink and white design. Let's take a look:

Stippling Brush

Blender Brush:

Front and center:

Stippling Brush: As you all can see this is no stippling brush. A stippling brush is much more packed and denser. I would say it's a soft powder brush and it does a very good job.

Blender Brush: This is a blending brush and a nice one. It works lovely without being harsh.

I absolutely love them. The only drawbacks were a horrible plastic smell which clearly came from the packaging and the design of the packaging also pressed them in a flat shape. They really should overthink that..

But no worries, as soon as you wash them the smell is gone. After the brushes are out for a while the shape gets normal as well. The performance is great.

My absolute favorite is the Blender brush, it's great and exactly what was missing in their collection. I posted already about the other Bipa brushes here, but the pictures all went to hell when I had this horrible disaster with my picasa web albums.. :(

If you want a new review/pictures of their other brushes let me know.

Review: MAC Brush 163

I'm a brush junkie and even though I already own a ton of brushes, I couldn't resist buying this one. I always wanted one shaped like this:

With the price tag of 45€, it definitely isn't a bargain, so how is it?

Unfortunately, I must say it isn't worth getting. At least in my opinion. It's kinda stiff, not so much that it hurts, but it makes blending quite hard. For applying a defined line of product, this one is great, but others can do that as well and blend lovely at the same time.

Here my favorite brush for these things: MAC's 138:

It's amazing! A defined shape that you can apply the product exactly where you want it and still soft enough for effortless blending. Love it!

Comparison:

So, if you want a good contour brush, invest in the 138 and skip the flat one.

Look by Bipa Brushes - Review

 Hey guys,

Sorry that I've been afk for the last couple of days, but university was hell..

Remember when I showed you my pretty new brushes by Bipa?? *click me*

I deep cleaned and tested them like there's no tomorrow. After all that I can savely say: These are freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely adore them. After washing them, the plastic smell was gone and the colours of the bristles were still bursting with pink goregousness

Those are incredibly soft and glide lovely over the skin. What more is there to say.. Oh, the price is another plus - if I remember correctly:

Kabuki 4,99€
Powder & Blush: 3,99€

They do have other brushes as well, but nothing extraordinary, which is kinda sad. A lip brush, a lash/brow comb brush, a sponge applictor brush and one that looks like a lip brush but is labelled as eyeshadow brush. See pictures below:

Not a big difference between those two.. If they would have a good eyeshadow and blending brush this range would be perfect.
I'm sure the lip brush and the lash/brow comb brush are great as well, but since I have enough of those, I didn't buy them.

So if you're thinking about buying these, buy them. They are great!!!!!!!

Austrian girls and boys: already bought some? What do you think?

Brush-tastic

I have an exam in the morning and shouldn't be online at all, but I couldn't resist writing a tiny post.

I recently reorganised my whole make up collection and my brushes as well:

Now, they are all lined up, nice and neat. Smalll eye brushes like liner and smudge brushes. "Normal sized" eyeshadow brushes for packing on colour and all my blending brushes with some random eye brushes in between. They rest are obviously face brushes. :-)

I love brushes, you can never have enough. ;-)

Are you brush-obsessed as well??

London Haul - IMATS part 1 - Brushes

Well, you wanted to see my things and so you shall see them. I would want to see them too, I love hauls. *gg*

This is the first part and I will show you all the brushes and I bought a ton of them. *gg*

I bought these brushes from Crown and disposable mascara wands:

I payed 100 quid for them. For this diversity of brushes and quality a really good price, nevertheless, it were 100 quid..

And I couldn't resist this duo fibre brigh pink brush set from Royal something for 20 quid and these two mixing palettes for 1 quid. *g*

Sooo awesome and bright. I wonder when they start making them with leo design, that would be such a big seller.

You see I spent a lot on brushes, but I had a quite convincing excuse for myself: you can never ever have enough brushes and they were sooo cheap in relation to the normal prices..

Anyone as crazy as me? Please let there be someone out there.. *gg*

B Pretty Brushes

Last week I was at Bipa, a local drugstore and walked by those little cuties and couldn't resist, even ignored my boyfriends subtle comment that I already own a billion brushes.. *gg*

I wanted to test them, how they feel and work on the skin. Those retail for 2,99€ if I remember correctly, which is nothing.

And that's how they look like:

My opinion: They are okay. When you open them and smell on the bristles it just smells awfully like plastic, but after washing this disappears.

The bristles are okay, they are definitely not as soft as they could be and regarding the fact that Essence has a powder brush in the same price range which is adoringly soft one can't help but be a tiny bit disappointed.

However, for the price I think they are alright. Maybe if you wash them with conditioner they will get softer.

I hope this was helpful for those wondering how they might feel.

Guinevere
