Current & Temporary Beauty Storage

Hey guys,

Moving into an old house automatically comes with the need to renovate at some point. For us this is now and since this house doesn't have a real bathroom, only a toilet and a shower my make up was scattered all around the house.

I don't have all my make up and bath & body stuff here yet, because there is simply no (safe) place to store it, but yesterday I collected everything from all the corners and put it in our Expedit. I thought you might be curious.

Hair products, deodorants

Face & Body products

Lipsticks and a few glosses and liners

Some of my brushes

Most of my palettes, some foundations, concealers and make up removers

cream eye prducts, blushes and a few other powder products

and this is the container where I keep all the items I alternate between and use almost daily. Wanna see it in detail?

Most of my face powders like skinfinishes and bronzers are in Vienna. My glosses and all the liners I have as well. Loose eyeshadows and a few eyeshadow palettes, the rest of my brushes and a bunch of other bath & body items are still waiting in Vienna too.

I can't wait to finally bring everything here, there's just something missing, even though I don't use most of the products regularly, but for now this is the only way I can store it. What do you think?

Lipstick & Cream Eyeshadow Storage

Some of you already know that we spend most of our time in Retz now, so I'm slowly moving all my make up to our house.

Some of my products: my lipsticks and cream eyeshadows.

Two paint pots are missing, that's the rest:

The lipsticks are now in our entrance room, right by the mirror. Some are missing, but here they are:

There's a lot more to transport to Retz *g* I'll keep you updated.

IKEA "Kupol" Make Up Storage Idea

I've been waiting for years for Ikea to release a handy, pretty and affordable storage system that is good for make up and they finally have done it!!

The containers start at 7€. You can hang them on your wall and they are stackable, another thing I love *click*.

I'm gonna show you mine as soon as I organized my make up in there. Well, a part of it. *gg*
Hope you found this useful.

Lipstick Storage

I was asked how I organize my (small amount *g*) of lipsticks. Here we go:

I colour-coordinated them. The plastic organizer is from IKEA and really cheap. On the right side are lip balms and depotted lipsticks. Behind it are my lipglass tubes.

Interested in a collection video/post?? :-)

New Acrylic Lipstick Holder

I'm obsessed with storage which you might have noticed. *g* I envy all of you who live in the U.S. and have access to all those gorgeous acrylic displays.
I found this at ebay from a german seller, so no worries with customs:

It holds 24 lipstick of all sizes, even the big ones (i.e. Illamasqua). The display itself cost me 1€, but shipping was 9,90€ *g*. That's still a good price, so I bought it.

Pretty, right??

The "problem" is that if you have a large number of lipsticks (like me) you'd have to buy several displays and that gets expensive.. For now I only have this one and store my lipsticks at the moment still in my old IKEA display. gg Mascaras and pencils fit in there as well.

I'm still not sure if I should buy more displays to have space for all my lipsticks or find something else to put into that display.. What would you do??

Storage Ideas??

Hey guys,

One question: I just saw the updated storage video from the fancy face and she has such cool items, one in particular:
This is from The Container Storage site, but they only ship inside the US. Does anyone have an idea where I could get something like that??

Thanks and lots of love,

Updated Nail Polish Storage System

Hey lovelies,

How are you? I'm so happy to be in Retz and that I can breathe again. The last couple of days were very exhausting and painful. My mums dog, with whom I grew up and naturally love is a senior now and she has water in her lungs..
She is old and her heart doesn't work right anymore, so all we can do is give the best we can and try to make her life as long as possible happy and without pain.
The last few days, while all my other family members unfortunately were on holiday, I spent the most time in the emergency pet clinic. The warmer the weather gets the harder it is for her to breathe. She's better now, but it seems I always have to be the strong one for our family...

But now enough about me. Can you remember when I first showed you my wand displays for my polishes: Nail Polish Storage

Well my collection grew, haven't thought it would be possible that I fill up all the shelves *gg* But it happened:

I need more shelves.. *g* I need two large ones for new polishes and two small ones for my pigments and my nail treatments.

What do you think?

My MAC lipglass and how I store them

I've been saving this post for quite a while now.. And it is a long post with many pics. :-)

Besides Hauls and Swatches I just love it when blogger show their collections and especially what storage system they are using. It's always an inspiration.

So I thought you might enjoy this :-)

First I wanna say two things nevertheless: I'm NOT posting this to brag, there are a ton of people out there who own more glosses believe me and if you wonder over 90% of these are special edition items. Since Mac releases them so often I focus on those items.

Here they are:

Okay I can do this more organised.. *g*

Close Ups?

And NOW what I consider my most precious item:

Yeah you see right, I do indeed own an original MAC display for lipgloss! I auctioned it on ebay :-)

I organise the lipglosses by colour:

The larger glosses that don't fit in there are in the same place I store my other glosses which range from Illamasqua to Essence products:

Soooo, what do you think?

I hope you liked this post :-)

Awesome and cheap nail polish storage

I recently changed the way I keep my polishes organised, or at least the "bigger" ones that don't fit in that handy small Ikea thing.

I always wanted and still want a nail polish rack, the acrylic one, but you can't get it anywhere here or even in Germany.. So I decided to do something that comes close to it..

That is it:

Isn't that pure gorgeousness??

It is from Ikea and called Ribba and one of those costs only 6€, I mean it's not soo cheap, but on those fit two rows of nail polishes, so you have a lot more space than in the acrylic ones. 26 China Glaze polishes have space in one row.

They are available in black and white and in several lengths. I really like them. I placed those exactly over my computer where I can always see them.

So how do you like them?? I always love to read comments from you.

Guinevere
