Misslyn Nail Smoothies

Today I have a beautiful nail polish for you. Last week while strolling through Müller I saw the new collection from Misslyn "Forbidden Fruits".

What intrigued me the most were the "smoothie" finish polishes. I ended up taking "sweet blackberry" home and I love it. It's an incredible beautiful colour. See for yourself:

I mean LOOK at that beauty! There is some texture in it, but without feeling or being gritty like sand polishes usually are.

I absolutely adore it. :)

Valerie

Nail Polish Organization Porn

Here it is, the most amazing wall display ever made in history. It holds all my polishes, almost.. lol.

It perfectly harmonizes with our oven.

What do you think? Could this be more gorgeous?

I already put in another "order". *gg*

Updated Nail Polish Wall Displays

The last couple of days I cleaned and redid my polish racks, cause many new colours wanted to get their place.. *g*

Unfortunately, there is not enough space any more.. So for now every colour after silver is waiting on the floor. I wish I could order new ones, but at the moment magnonails don't carry them.. :-(

Updated Nail Polish Storage System

Hey lovelies,

How are you? I'm so happy to be in Retz and that I can breathe again. The last couple of days were very exhausting and painful. My mums dog, with whom I grew up and naturally love is a senior now and she has water in her lungs..
She is old and her heart doesn't work right anymore, so all we can do is give the best we can and try to make her life as long as possible happy and without pain.
The last few days, while all my other family members unfortunately were on holiday, I spent the most time in the emergency pet clinic. The warmer the weather gets the harder it is for her to breathe. She's better now, but it seems I always have to be the strong one for our family...

But now enough about me. Can you remember when I first showed you my wand displays for my polishes: Nail Polish Storage

Well my collection grew, haven't thought it would be possible that I fill up all the shelves *gg* But it happened:

I need more shelves.. *g* I need two large ones for new polishes and two small ones for my pigments and my nail treatments.

What do you think?

My Nail Polish Storage System

I FINALLY found the nail polish wall displays!!!!!!!

I've seen them already once 3 years ago on http://www.magnonails.de/ , yes 3 freaking years, but exactly at the time when I wanted to order them they were discontinued.

I was devastated. But I kept looking on their homepage from time to time, just if they might came back and they did!!!!!!!!

So a few weeks ago I ordered three to make sure that I have enough. One large display officially fits about 90 polishes, depending on the size of the polishes. Since I don't own only OPI polishes, mine hold more than 100. :-)Each costs 32,99€ which I think is a good price :-)

And here they are:

The pic without the flash is lighter and nicer to look at, but the one with flash is definitely more colour accurate.

The third one is already put up and ready to be filled :-)

Aren't those gorgeous??

Gorgeousness in a bottle

I'm so excited about this post. *gg* I'm adoring China Glazes Sunset Glow ever since I first laid eyes on it via swatches on the internet and I finally ordered it.

I contacted a lovely seller on facebook "Mad about MAC" that I found it in a store, but they don't ship internationally. So she organised it for me and sent it to me. I paid $10 for it plus shipping which I think is okay.
Here it is:

That is just incredible!!

It is discontinued and I obviously got a very old bottle, it is the old design:

It is a little bit streaky which worries my quite a bit, but well that is the risk when you want an "old" shade. I hope it will stay stable.. Or I have to try polish thinner.

What do you think about this shade? Isn't it just lovely!!

My new system to overview my polishes Part 2

Sooo I finally started to get them on to the wall :-)

I mean doesn't that look awesome???

And you can flip every single one over to read the label. I love it!

There's still a lot to do, all the other colours to be exact, but I already like it very very much *g*

My new system to overview my polishes

I have a lot of polishes and I do love them, but it gets harder and harder to really keep track about what colours I already own.
So I thought about something which I found genious and started with that project about a good week ago and then I see exactly the same idea on a germans blogger site.
She appears to have had the same thought at the same time, which is kinda fascinating and weird at the same time.
I'm telling you this, cause I don't want anyone to think I stole it from her and say it was my idea.

You will see differences anyway, but if I have an idea from someone else I will say it.  :-)

I bought a bunch of nail tips, the biggest they have and filed the tips in a nice oval shape and started painting.. *g* It is sooo much work.. So far I reached my last drawer with all the greens and browns.

The pics were taken when I was finished with White to Purple. I bought a bunch of little label stickers to know all the time which colour and brand it is:

I let all the tips dry over night and when I'm done with painting all of them I'm gonna make two little holes in the top of the nail tip, where I left them blank, and will hang them up on my wall by colour.  :-)

So I can see all my colours at the same time, save space and "try" on the polishes :-)

I'm gonna put up another post when my project is finished.

Hope you found that interesting and probably inspiring.

Guinevere

Awesome and cheap nail polish storage

I recently changed the way I keep my polishes organised, or at least the "bigger" ones that don't fit in that handy small Ikea thing.

I always wanted and still want a nail polish rack, the acrylic one, but you can't get it anywhere here or even in Germany.. So I decided to do something that comes close to it..

That is it:

Isn't that pure gorgeousness??

It is from Ikea and called Ribba and one of those costs only 6€, I mean it's not soo cheap, but on those fit two rows of nail polishes, so you have a lot more space than in the acrylic ones. 26 China Glaze polishes have space in one row.

They are available in black and white and in several lengths. I really like them. I placed those exactly over my computer where I can always see them.

So how do you like them?? I always love to read comments from you.

My Nail Polish Collection part 3

It's time to finish my Nailpolish Collection posts.

This time it's all about my nail treatments. I store them in this little box from IKEA, they fit exactly.

I have 5 China Glaze treatment polishes:

Strong Adhesion Base Coat, Fast Forward and No-Chip top coat. Unfortunately I have to say that I'm not that happy withe the top coats, especially the No-Chip top coat just doesn't work.
The Orange Culticle Oil and the White Tea Extract Manicure Soak on the other hand are mighty! The Manicure Soak makes the nails sooo perfect for a manicure, you can put some drops in warm water and put your hands in it or apply it directly to your culticle area. The Orange Culticle Oil smells wonderful und makes your culticles feel "nutritioned" and is the perfect after-manicure treatment.

My Essence regime:

I love the products from Essence and I have a lot of their treatment polishes. Amongst them a Culticle Peeling!! which is really nice, and several polishes, you can read the names. :-) The Fresh Start polish is super great, it removes all the oil and dirt that is invisible to the eye and makes the nail ready for the polish.

My Zoya polishes:

These polishes are part from their lock-down series. I have the renew polish, which I already dedicated a post to, base and top coat and their hurry up drops.

Random:

Two polishes from the drugstore "Bipa", their products are quite nice as well, an Allessandro top coat, my Drip Dry drying drops from OPI - the best ever!!!!! Qtica half time drying drops, also very good and a growth support polish from Catrice.

So that's it. Hope you enjoyed these posts, I love nail polish soo much. *gg*

My Nail Polish Collection part 2

Soooo let's get into the second round.

To my first part, unfortunately, I wish I would, I don't live in the UK, the reason I still have Gosh, Barry M and Collection 2000 polishes is that I travel to Edinburgh and London all the time. I brought them with me from these trips :-)

This is my "big" case full of China Glaze and other large bottles:

In Detail:

OPI:

I have only two full size bottles from OPI: Mod About You and Teal The Cows Come Home

KO Cosmetics:

This brand started the whole Matte polishes hype and that very successful. They have only one polish for every colour, so I'm lazy and won't write the names. *gg*

Nubar:

I don't own many as well, but the ones I own are gorgeous, especially Reclaim, I love it soo much.. Lemon Sorbet, Reclaim, Grass Green Glitter, Wildlife

H&M:

Great Looks, Wicked Purple, Really Black

NYX Girls:

Golden Glitter, Disco Ball, Show Girl, CN243, CN245, CN250,CN237, great ones as well!

China Glaze:

The most polishes I own :-)

Goulish Glow, White-Kwik-Silvr, Celtic Sun, Vintage Crepe, Orange Knockout, Japanese Koi, Ruby Pumps, Innocence, Pink Underground, Second-Hand-Silk, Bad Kitty, Mom's Chiffon, Shocking Pink, Pink Voltage, Purple Panic, Strawberry Fields, Seduce Me, Flying Dragon, Bahamian Escape, For Audrey, Shower Together

Turned Up Turquoise, Calypso Blue, GR8, Recycle, Lubu Heels, Wagon Trail

Some random polishes:

Manhattan polishes, Hot Topic polish, b pretty polishes, Golden Rose polishes, s-he style zone polish

Essence Moonlight Collection:

Sparkling Dawn, Live Forever, Into the Night

Do you like them?
The third part will contain all my treatment polishes so stay tuned.

Guinevere
