Blogger Karussel "Frühlingserwachen"

Some blogger collegues came up with an amazing idea: A Blogger Carrousel where each blogger posts on another blog. The topic is "Spring Awakening". You can find a link list with all the blogger that participate at the end. Just click on the link and you'll find the post.

My post is published on Thelipstick.net, it's a make up look. :)

My blogger partner is lovely Jen from Goldmarie. Since it's a Austrian carrousel her post is in german.

Where?“ aus der O.P.I.

3. Holt eure Armbänder raus
Im Winter bin ich ja etwas faul was Armschmuck betrifft, meine Hände sind meist in lange Ärmel gehüllt, im Frühling jedoch trage ich nichts lieber als die Armbänder von „New One“. Erhältlich in der Seilergasse 2, 1010 Wien.

UK Haul

Hello lovelies,

Gosh, I had a stressful week, stupid university..

Exams all the time and I have a huge English exam in May, which I've been avoiding for years (sad, I know) and if I should pass it, I'm gonna make a bombastic giveaway. *gg*
In addition, I'll call whoever is responsible for holidays and tell him/her it's time for a new one - "The day Guinevere passed that f***ing exam!"

But now let's move on to more cheerful things. Lovely K. from drop dead beautiful was in London, what a lucky girl, and so nice to bring me some items I had on my wishlist. Thanks again dear!

Here they are:

Thr amazing RealTechniques Stippling Brush, I can't wait to try it..

Two of the lovely Blush Trios by Sleek:

Pumpkin:

Lace:

Soooo beautiful.. The palettes are smaller than I thought *gg* Here is a comparison picture, so you get the feeling for the size:

Cute, right? *g*

I didn't use them yet, but you can find tons of beautiful swatches online.

Bipa Nude Touch

Lately, Bipa keeps surprising me with their gorgeous Look by Bipa limited editions. Just saw on their facebook page these limited edition polishes, which will be released at the end of the week. The series is called "Nude Touch" and is full of subtle, nude colours.

I can't wait to see them in real life, I'm sure these will be gone quickly!

Peachy Day

It was one of the first sunny days and the kind I like. Not too hot, just lovely. So I wanted to wear something peachy. :-)

Haul: Missyln Peacock Bronzer

A very self-explanatory title. *gg*
I was surprised how many bronzers they had, not those crappy three products shelves, no, I'm sure they had at least 7 or 8 pieces.

Here it is:

It was 7,95€ and I think the price is okay for the quality. I used the tester on the back of my hand and really like it. Not gonna do swatches soon, too pretty. *gg*

I was quite tempted by the nail polishes, but restrained myself, cause I have many polishes close to these shades and I think these are permanent anway.

Beauty Swap Vienna

My Vienna girls, this could be interesting for you!

Tomorrow will be a big Beauty Swap event at Cafe Stein at Währingerstraße 6-8 in the 9th district.

Everybody can attend and it will be from 13:00 until 16:00.

The rules:
  • The products you wanna swap need to be in good condition. New or just slightly used. Clean them if possible.
  • Of course the swap only works if the two parties are happy with the swap
  • This event is all about swapping and not about selling!
  • The products have to do something with beauty
I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend the event, which sucks, but if I miss it. Have fun!! :-)

Here's the address again:

Review: Fake Tattoos

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by "Fake Tattoo" and asked if I wanna test some of their temporary tattoos. What can I say, I love tattoos, so hell yeah! *gg*

They have a huge variety of temporary tattoos and I was allowed to choose some, which you can see above.

But let's get to the interesting part, do they last?

I'm gonna show you a lot of pics which speak for themselves and after that I'm gonna share my thoughts with you.

It works like the gumball machines which we all used when we were little, sooo cute.

I chose the stars.

Chosen place:

You're supposed to press the wet "whatever-you-use" for 30 seconds onto the back of the tattoo. Here's an explanation on their website *click*.

Here it is:

Pretty, right?

I applied it on Friday noon. Saturday at noon after showering and doing sports on Friday.

Saturday evening:

Sunday noon:

Monday morning:

So what is my verdict? *g*

I showered every day and was doing sports on Friday and Sunday. Sports didn't affect it much, but this could be, because of the place I chose. The first day it was perfect, but then it slowly, but surely faded.

I think those are cool and fun and their variety of tattoos is amazing. You can even make custom tattoos. They are cheap and I think are cool for three purposes:
  • If you're a Make Up Artist these will be awesome for photoshoots. Just perfect!
  • If you want to party and look cool without having a permanent tattoo, which is a bit pathetic though lol
  • This is what I like the most: If you're thinking about getting a tattoo I would really, really try those to get the feeling of how it feels to have something there. The custom tattoo possibility is great for that. Many people don't think about their choice enough, in my opinion. That's how the tattoo removal industry earns their money. lol I love my tattoos and didn't regret them once, but I remember thinking after my first tattoo: "Wow.. This is forever". It was weird. In theory, some motives might seem cool and perfect for you, but that can change quickly if you don't think about that enough. I always took my time to really choose what I want and what feels right. Not just for the moment. Everyone should do that in my opinion.
So, are they worth getting? If you wanna use them for one of the reasons I mentioned above, certainly. They are more than affordable as well, so why not.

Thanks for letting me test them Fake Tattoos. :-) Here's their homepage if you wanna check these out: http://www.faketattoos.se/en/

Balea Vanille Bodycreme

Hey guys,

I'm literally drowning in all the stuff that's flying around in my head. University, future, body,.. On Monday, I have an exam, so this will be the only post until then.

I saw this today and if I wouldn't already own a billion body butters/creams I would have snatched it up!

The price is, as always, simply amazing..

GOSH Spring Look 2012

I couldn't resist going to the next Bipa after reading about the Essie polishes, but they weren't there yet. Nevertheless, I saw something else. The new GOSH collection, I'm always excited seeing their limited editions.

The eyeshadows weren't special at all and the colour pay-off was not amazing as well.

Reeeeeeeeaaaaally liked the polishes though, soft and basic colours that suit everyone. If they weren't about 9€, I would have bought them.

The glosses were sold out and I have no idea what was in the empty shelves, but I'm pretty sure nothing important.

I made some quick swatches for you, so you get the idea:

The glosses started to crawl in the lines immediately, so I'm sure it will be the same on one's lips.

Seen it? Like it? I think it's a pretty solid collection everyone could wear. I just wish it would be more affordable..

Guinevere
