Review: L'Oréal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara

I've been curious about this mascara for ages, so I was super excited when I found this in my mail. :) Let's take a look before we talk about it

Swatches!

Not bad, right? :)

Let's keep it simple as always:

I'm really happy with this one. The first coat seperated the lashes perfectly. When you put more on, this above is two coats it gets a bit more spidery, but still not too clumpy. A great mascara. :)

Review: L'Oréal Nude Magique Eau de Teint

L'Oréal released a new foundation which is supposed to feel "lighter than water" on your skin. Let's take a closer look.

Before I start talking, let's show you some before and after photos:

Before:

After:

My thoughts:

It has a very liquid texture. You need to shake the foundation well before using it. Best to repeat that and use what you got on your finger and apply it onto your skin.

I used it with a stippling brush as well and it worked fine. It applies lovely and absorbs quickly. I really like it, but it doesn't have much coverage. Well, no true coverage at all. It evens out the skintone, but it doesn't cover dark shadows or pimples. My skin is very even and I really like the lovely and light feeling it gives me, but if you have problem areas you won't be happy with this.

So, it really depends on your skintype. For me, who often forgets to wear foundation, cause it's not a big problem area, this is a great alternative, like a bb cream, but with a lighter feeling. If you really want a foundation that does conceal as well, I wouldn't go for it though.

Review: L'oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Souffle d'Or Shampoo & Conditioner

Hey guys,

Today's my day off. What a treat :-) I got these two a little while ago and now it's review time!

They have a handy pump which I absolutely love:

What L'oréal says:

Specially formulated for fine to normal hair, L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Souffle d'Or will give your hair a dazzling shine. Infused with precious argan and safflower oils, it intensely nourishes your hair without weighing it down. It works to gently cleanse away dirt, oil and impurities from your hair and scalp, whilst imparting your locks with a beautiful, healthy sheen, thanks to the golden sparkles that catch the light for a show-stopping effect. Your hair will be left soft, smooth and wonderfully supple.

My opinion:

Well, I wish I could tell you something different, but I don't like them. They have a rather heavy perfume scent which isn't my thing and even though they seem to be full of argan oil I don't find them exceptionally moisturizing. What annoys me the most though is the fact that my hair gets greasy again after one day.. That's just too damn soon. For the sparkle, well it mostly reminded me of a princess kids shampoo.

They are parabene and silicone free and exclusively available in salons.

I hope this was helpful.

Love you guys,
Guinevere

L'Oréal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss

L'Oréal sent me this nice lip balm pencil. My first lipstick pencil :)

Swaaaatches:

It feels nice on the lips, you can feel the glitter particles, but not in an uncomfortable way. The one I got isn't that opaque, but it gives you a natural, nice finish and wash of colour. It's one of those perfect products if you're in a hurry.

They will be released in August and are limited edition. 9,99€ isn't a bargain, but I think it's worth it. :-)

L'Oréal Super Liner Blackbuster & Look

Isn't it always exciting to see new products in stores. I love it.

L'Oréal just released their Super Liner Blackbuster eyeliner, which is basically a felt tip pen for your eyes.

It' quite big, but has a fine tip..

which makes drawing fine lines really simple.

It can be really handy to have such a liner, especially when you're travelling. It's easy to use and not messy.

One thing and you can see this above and on my look, is that those felt tip pens (which have the colour "inside") never give you a truly black line. It's black, but not opaque. Know what I mean?

The other thing is that as long as it's dry it lasted all day without moving, but on another day when it was super hot and humid the colour transfered on to my upper lid..

Here's my look:

  • Pros: it was easy to handle and one was able to draw thin lines
  • Cons: moves when it get's hot/humid and doesn't give you a true black line

L'Oréal Paris LA Manicue by Color Riche

L'Oréal released a new series of nail care polishes. Seven products to cater to your every need. I love nail care stuff.

L'Oréal sent me the Miracle Repair 7 serum which promises healthier nails in just seven days. :) "Unfortunately" I have gel nails and therefore can't test it, but I still wanted to show it to you.

Sadly, the only things I could have used, a cuticle oil or cuticle removing gel, is missing in their collection. Poor Guinevere. ;-)

Pricewise, the collection is between 7,95€ and 9,99€. Not a bargain, but if it helps I think it's worth it. Have you tried it??

To make this interesting for you - you can win this repair serum above. There'll be a big giveaway pretty soon and this thingy will be part of it, so stay tuned.

L'Or Sunset Make Up Look

As promised my L'Oréal Cannes look, done with the quad and the mascara which I talked about here.

If you read the other post, the glitter is a bit chunky so you have some fall out, but the extent is okay for me.

Do you like it?

All products performed very well. No creasing or imprints.

Guinevere

L'Oréal L'Or Sunset Cannes Collection

L'Oréal is once more the official Make Up Artist of the Cannes Film Festival. I wish I was on their crew, how cool would that be?!

In celebration of this L'Oréal released two limited products playing with the golden, sparkling transition of night and day. A limited version of my beloved Volume Million mascara and an eyeshadow quad.

Let's take a look at those beauties:

The mascara - a black mixed with fine golden particles

..and the quad full of sparkling shades of the night.

Swatch Time!

I already used both in a look which I'll show you tomorrow, so I can say a few words about their performance.

I love the Volume Million Lashes mascara series and this one is just as awesome as the others. I reviewed it here *click* and here *click*. About this version: you can see the tiny golden particles on the mascara wand, but not on the lashes. At least not on mine.

The eyeshadows are a bit tricky. The golden glitter particles are a bit chunky which makes the shadows crumbly. I expected a lot of fall out (and you definitely need to tap of the excess product) but it was no problem at all. It worked great and the shadows have great pigmentation.

A great duo, so if you fell in love, they should be available in a couple of days, but be quick. They are limited edition.

L'Oréal Wild Ombrés Highlights

Hey lovelies,

Sorry for my silence, but I have a cold that really knocked me out the last couple of days and still does. I hate these temperatures.. It feels like we're a week away from christmas..

But let's change topic, I know I said I'm too chicken to try the Wild Ombré Highlights dye before my wedding, but I did it. You guys were so curious, so I just had to. *g* Here is the post where I showed you all the details. *click*

Let's give you a before and after and then I'll talk about the experience! *g*

Before:

and nooooww: after!

You can definitely see a difference! What do you think?

I'm not so sure about it, but it's not bad. I sorta like it. *gg* The only thing is the not-so-perfect transition. It's too harsh, but it's difficult to get a real idea about how it will look afterwards while dyeing it.

You use it with a brush on your dry hair starting as far up as you want it to:

Pretty Guinevere.. What a horrible picture, but I wanted to show you how it looks..

I was a bit nervous, cause the instruction warns you more than once to be really careful with the dye.. I found that quite unsettling, also you have to be quick mixing the liquids together, cause once mixed it overflows if you don't open the bottle quickly enough. Truly weird.

Luckily, I didn't have any problems with the product and even though the dye touched my skin, I had no troubles with that.

All in all, I think this is a great dye if you wanna try the ombré look! So, what is your opinion on it?

Love,
Guinevere
