Trim That Brow!

I'm sure none of us would have thought our eyebrows are such an important facial feature while growing up. *gg* I sure haven't. I just always wanted them to look like Angelina Jolies. lol

Today I'm gonna show you my must-have tools for nice and neat brows. However your natural shape is. :-) Here they are:

Good tweezers are a must. Mine are from Tweezerman, a brand I love, sadly they aren't so easy to get in Austria, but nothing a trip to the Uk can't fix. ;-)

This rosy, funny looking thing is a brow shaver. You can get it in drugstores, this one is from Bipa. I use it after I tweeze the obvious hairs to get rid of the lighter ones. It just gives you a neat result and leaves your eye area hair-free

Not all people trim the hairs above your brow, many only tweeze below the brow bone, I prefer to shorten the long ones so everything is in order, therefore the scissors :)

For the final touch is use this baby from Origins:

It's the "No Puffery" Cooling roll-on. It's originally designed for puffy eyes and bags, but it is the perfect product to cool and soothe the red areas after tweezing and shaping. I use it every time and I love it.

So that's it. Those are my go-to tools for nice and neat brows. :-) I hope this was useful.

Love,
Valerie

Review: Maybelline "Brow Drama" Brow Gel

Hello lovelies!

I bought this a little while back and now it's time for a review, but before I talk about it - let's see some pictures.

It has a funny brush

Nothing on:

wearing Brow Drama:

Looks quite good, right?

I really like it! I'm currently a little obsessed with my brows and this is a great product! The front of the brush with the ball shape is good for the beginning and the smaller part is great for using after the arch.

It's done really fast and simple as well which is another plus. So, my verdict - a great product. I'm happy I bought it. :)

Maybelline Drugstore Haul

There was an offer for Maybelline products recently and I couldn't resist. You buy some and the cheapest is free. I bought some items I wanted for some time.

I was incredible curious about the new Brow Drama brow mascara, the famous Instant Anti-Age Löscher. Aditionally, I fell in love with one of the new and limited Crystallize polishes from their Color Show range.

Anti-Age Löscher Concealer:

Crystallize polish:

The cool brow mascara, I got "medium brown":

The head is a bit unconventional, but cool nevertheless.

I'm gonna do reviews of them seperately. :)

Review: Anastasia Beverly HIlls "Brow Wiz"

Today a doctor visited us, I get dizzy as soon as I walk around too much, and gave me some hard stufff to beat this flu and I gotta say, thank you God for medicine. It's a luxury to live in a country where we have access to health care that is affordable.

But since I'm feeling pretty stable right now, I decided to post the review I wanted to post for ages. The review about the most genious brow product I ever had the pleasure to discover - The "Brow Wiz" by Anastasia.

I found it at the airport in Amsterdam and tried it there. I didn't buy it right away, it's 23,70€ after all... But I was blown away by its performance immediately The shade I used is "Brunette" and it fit my hair tone exactly. Let's look at some pictures.

Now some swatches that prove its awesomeness.

It has the perfect consistency, not too hard or too soft. And the best: it lasted all day. All day!

So when we flew back, stopping at Amsterdam again, I had to get it and I didn't regret it for one second.

Do you have found your holy grail brow product??

Guinevere

Review: Maybelline Jade Mastershape Brow Pencil

Hey guys,

Gosh I'm so paralyzed by the last Dexter episode. I can't believe it's over.. Not gonna spoil anything, but I definitely need someone to talk to! *g*

But this is no support group, it's a beauty blog and I have a review for you. :-) Since I can't find my beloved MAC eyebrow pencil which truly drives me crazy, I needed a substitute.

I decided to try the Mastershape brow pencil by Maybelline Jade in "deep brown". It comes in three shades, this is the darkest. Let's take a look at it:

Now on to a swatch:

My thoughts:

I'm a big fan of this pencil. It's great. I use it every day. It lasts very well, the only thing that annoys me is that it's a bit too soft for my taste . It could be harder, but other than that this is a keeper! :-)

Threading!

Hello lovelies,

One thing I learned during my constant visits to the UK is that they are ahead of us when it comes to trends. The first time I saw the pink I-Pod I fell in love with, was in London about two years before they got really famous in Austria.

I have the impression threading is already a big deal in the US and now it reached the UK. Every Superdrug offers threading and you can get it done at each mall.

I was super excited, but when I saw a woman get her eyebrows done and her face turned red with pain I got cold feet. On the third day of four I decided to go for it. The whole thing was done in three minutes and definitely not as painful as I expected.

Here are the before and after pictures:

Before:

After:

A short clip. I don't look very flattering, but well, you'll survive:

What do you think? I was quite happy with the result, especially, on the area above my brows. Nevertheless, I think my usual routine of tweezing and shaving of the blonde hairs is the best for me.

Guinevere
