Essie Encrusted Treasure Collection Haul & Swatches
Today I found this - almost untouched - display of essie's latest LE - Encrusted Treasure. :)
The key polish of this collection definitely is "Belugaria" Sadly, this polish is one big fat falilure.. And that happens rarely when it comes to essie polishes. Some evidence.
In theory, this could be awesome, but it's just a bumpy, weird mess. So unflattering..
The only time I saw the shiny particles -> when removing the polish:
"Ignite the Night" - three coats, not unique, but not bad either.
"Lots of Lux" the polish that stood out the most. I would have bought it if I didn't have one that looks almost the same.
"Peak of Chic" didn't convince me in the bottle, so I only tried one coat. It's one of these top coats that will need tons of layers to ever get opaque..
"Hors D'oeuvres" is a nice silver/gold shimmer with hex glitters in it.
"On a silver platter" is the shade I bought, I don't have a swatch of it - yet. I will do a nice manicure with it and show it to you tomorrow.
I tried it in the store as well and found it super pretty, so I gave it a new home.
Seen the LE in stores already? What do you think of "Belugaria"??
Love,
Guinevere
Essie Luxeffects
Heylo my lovely readers,
(all the people who watch The Big Bang Theory know what to do with "Heylo") *gg*
Some stuff is going on on the Essie polish front, but before we talk about their new collection I need to show you two beauties I got. The essie luxeffects.

Let's go on to some swatches, for now I only have swatches from "a cut above". On its own and as a topcoat:
The middle finger has four coats of "a cut above" without anything else, the others have two coats of "a cut above" with a nice rose tone underneath
I'll do swatches from the other polish, soon. I'm still not sure which base polish makes it the prettiest.

Essie Winter Collection 2013, the second!
Remember when I first talked about Essie's new Winter collection? You can see it here including swatches of "Parka Perfect".
I couldn't resist buying two more when seeing the LE in store.
Swatches will follow soon. :-)

"toggle to the top", "sable collar"
"Toggle to the top" such a beautiful glittery shade
"Sable Collar" is quite an unique shade which is tough to capture. It's described as pearly plum.
Swatches will follow soon. :-)

Essie Winter Collection 2013
It's that time of year already. Winter is coming, can you believe it. It's crazy. Essie is releasing their Winter Collection soon and gives us once more a lovely palette of colours to choose from. Here they are:
shearling darling — noble mahagony red
mind your mittens — dark, diamond blue-green
parka perfect — adorable cashmere grey
sable collar — pearly plum
warm & toasty turtleneck — angora pink
toggle to the top — glitter garnet red
I had the pleasure to test the beautiful "Parka Perfect". It's the ideal winter shade:
Let's look at some swatches:
I absolutely love it. It has subtle white shiny partcicles in it you can see when the sun hits it. I wore it 4 days which is years in nail polish wear for me. *g*
I can't wait to see the other colours when they are released in the middle of November. I'm pretty sure "toggle to the top" will come home with me. :)
Love,
Guinevere

Drugstore Releases in October
We're still without internet, the death for a blogger.. Without our mobile phones that function as hotspots, we'd be completely in the dark.
Some new drugstore collections have been released and I thought why not share them with you :-)
Essence did something horrible. A Justin Bieber LE, how could they.. Well, most teenagers might disagree..
Sorry for the blurriness.. The other LE isn't bad at all.
I was really tempted, but stayed strong. :)
Did you buy anything? Since I bought quite a lot from MAC's Riri LE, I didn't get anything.
Love,
Guinevere

Essie Fall Collection Swatches
You've probably seen swatches of this LE on tons of blogs, but here are mine. :-)
All of them are flawless in terms of opacity and quality. Essie definitly is one of my favorite nail polish brands at the moment. What do you think of the collection? Love it as much as I do?
