Beauty Haul - Bourjois, Rimmel, Garnier

I bought some cool products last week and it's time to show them to you. I bought all of them at the DM in Excalibur City which has brands we don't have.

When I saw this it blew me away. A Garnier micellar make up remover!! This might be a substitute for the famous one from Bioderma. I haven't seen this in Austria, who knows when or if we get it, so I had to buy it.

Sadly, there's not one words on it in a language I know. The saleswoman couldn't really speak English or German and even though my husbands mother is from Hungary and he was raised bilingual he wasn't that helpful either...

Maybe some of you can help translating. Oh, it was about 6,70€ if you are curious.

I also saw this shower gel from Bourjois, one of three. It smells divine!

Last but not least this pretty Space Dust polish from Rimmel. Swatches will follow soon.

This nearby DM with all these brands we don't have really pays off. :)

What do you think about that haul? Do you know the Garnier make up remover??

New Years Eve and Edinburgh Haul Part 1

I hope you all had a great New Years Eve! Ours was incredible. Cold, but incredible. *gg*

As dog owners we usually stay at home and try to calm our dog, but this year we decided to be part of one of the biggest parties. The Hogmanay in Edinburgh!!

We had tickets for the Keilidh which was an event within the huge Street Party with typical Scottish music.

It was amazing. The fireworks were incredible. I thought about uploading a video with the countdown and everything, but one can find so many videos out there, just explore Youtube. :)

Today, I'll show you my first part of the products I bought in Edinburgh. I took these pictures still being there and I couldn't resist buying some other things after that as well.. *gg*

Two Color Tattoo 24HR cream eyeshadows: "Metallic Pomegranate" and "24k Gold".

I repurchased the Healthy Mix foundation and the Healthy Balance powder. I'm curious how the powder will be. :-)

I forgot my deo at home, so I got this.

My husband loves Soap & Glory's "Hand Food" and when he saw they make a foot cream he had to have it. So here is "Heel Genius"

Three nail polishes :)

Maybelline Color Show Brocades "Rosy Rosettes", Barry M "Contess" and Barry M "Greenberry"

A mini nail polish remover pot. So cute!!

Sleek's "Vintage Romance" palette:

I exchanged it for one that was intact, but for now:

I also repurchased the amazing Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer:

I love shopping at stores we don't have. I could spend hours in there. :) Part 2 of the haul will follow tomorrow.

Guinevere

Current Favorites

It's been ages since I did one of these. Here are the products I've been using all the time lately.

Let's go into detail. All the products I already reviewed have links on them. The rest I'll review soon:

  • Shower Tangle Teeze
  • Hansaplast "Anti Calluses" 2in1 Peeling: a 2in1, which is really good if you have difficult feet like mine
  • treaclemoon "one ginger morning" shower gel: I love the ginger-lemon scent, I recently discovered it in my local DM. Must be new :-)

I also have some non-beauty favorites of mine for you:

I love my cat ballerinas and am currently doing the "Fit ohne Geräte" Workout. I actually hate it, but it's quite effective..

My new favorite teacher gadgets:

Facebook stamps with the "I like" and "I don't like". I haven't used them so far, but I'm sure those will be a hit.

Another item I use every day, my beloved chalk pen. It keeps my hands free of chalk dust.

What are your favorites? Probably one of those I mentioned?

Review: Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

This product quickly became one of my all time favorites. I bought it when Bourjois had their 50% off sale and loved ever since.
Some pics:

I'm the shade 51:

Blended out, not really happy with the way this swatch turned out, but you'll see the result on my face better anyway.

After a shower with nothing on:

Finished make up with Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and a bit of the Healthy Mix concealer, no powder on top. Look at that result:

Now on to the actual review. *g* I absolutely love it. Simple as that! This foundation is great in every way possible.

It has a lovely finish, blends effortlessly into the skin, stays put, smells fruity divine and is the first foundation I ever came across that didn't make me feel like I need to set it with powder.

So if you are looking for a good foundation, go buy this one. You won't be disappointed. :-) I have the serum as well and gonna review it soon.

Hungarian Bourjois Haven

Just wanted to show you that for those of you who might have fallen in love with certain Bourjois products (and aren't too far away from Hungary), there is a Müller filled with all the good stuff:

So no need to worry if you empty a foundation or so. :-)

"Goodbye Bourjois" Haul

I got my BIPA package, so it's time to show you my final Bourjois haul.

I ordered two mascaras and a lipstick, cause as hard as I tried, I couldn't find them anymore. A bit weird was that strange dust..

..but see - finally no worries that the battery is empty, yay!!:

Before the 3€ offer, I bought the Healthy Mix Foundation and the Serum for 50% off.

After eight Bipas I had these:

I wanted a product from every category. *g* I never buy back ups, but the Healthy Mix series is so freaking amazing, I just had to get it.

The really cool thing was that I had a 37€ gift card. *evil laugh* I saved sooo much money and in the end only spent about 20€.

I'm gonna do swatches soon. :-)

(Final) Bourjous Haul

Since Bourjois is leaving Austria, which I'm sure you all know, I had to buy a few things. *g*

Luckily, there are 50% off of all their products, so it was affordable. :-) I went to the Bipa at the new shopping center at Westbahnhof and they had -15% on everything. *g* So in the end, I saved 65%! How cool's that?

Here is my haul:

The waterproof make up remover, which always interested me. The famous Bourjous Healthy Mix foundation, the Healthy Mix serum and a nail polish. I can't wait to try them, but first I have to show you some close ups of the nail polish. Look at that:

I could have taken tons of pictures of this beauty.. I can't wait to see how it looks on my nails.

You might wonder where the bronzing powder is that is another famous product of this brand, but to be honest, I think this hype is a bit uncalled-for..
I have a bronzing powder by Essence in the exact same shape (not sure if it's permanent), this chocolate bar thing, which smells amazing and performs great. I don't think the Bourjois one can be better than that, except for the fact that it costs way more.

I'm not surprised that Bourjois is leaving Austria. It was just too expensive. I never bought anything for that same reason.. Nevertheless, it's always sad when a make up brand leaves us and I'm sure the Bourjois products are great.

I'm really curious about what will be released instead. I hope we get something cool. The ultimate dream: Illamasqua lol but I'm sure that's not happening. I'd love to have Too Faced or Urban Decay. Well, we'll see. *g*
What would you love to see?

Guinevere

Review: Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer

Hey guys,

Here is the much anticipated Bourjois concealer review. :-) I have the number 51.

I wore it several times by now and absolutely love it. It smells so lovely and fruity. It's extremely pigmented and lasts all day. The only problem I have with it is that it's much more yellow than it looked in the tube..

But let the pictures speak:

Nothing on:

with concealer under the eyes:

finished make up:

after a few hours of wear:

about 8 hours later, I know not the best lighting, but you get the gist:

Well, well, as one can see the concealer did a great job. :-) You only need the tiniest amount, I squeezed out a pea sized amount and that was more than enough.

I'm still worried about the yellowness, I didn't have the impression that it was that yellow, but the pics speak another language.. I guess I'll have to mix it with another concealer to balance out that yellowness, but the product itself is great.

At the end of the day, I could see the concealer settle a little bit in the fine lines under the eyes, but not too much.

I totally recommend it. So if you can get your hands on it, give it a try. Just make sure that you get the right shade for you.

Hope this was helpful.

Love,
Guinevere
