Drugstore Releases May

I thought I show you what's going on in the drugstore area.

Essence - Viva Brasil

Essie - hide & go chic

Essence -  Beach Cruises

I really like the Beach Cruisers LE, the blush sure will be gone quickly. I wanted to get the bronzer as well, but I have so many already.. I only got the turquoise liquid liner in "keep calm and go to the beach". It's incredible. I'll show you soon!

Drugstore Releases in October

We're still without internet, the death for a blogger.. Without our mobile phones that function as hotspots, we'd be completely in the dark.

Some new drugstore collections have been released and I thought why not share them with you :-)

Essence did something horrible. A Justin Bieber LE, how could they.. Well, most teenagers might disagree..

Sorry for the blurriness.. The other LE isn't bad at all.

Next up is Catrice:

I was really tempted, but stayed strong. :)

Essie released their luxeffect and reptile colours.

Did you buy anything? Since I bought quite a lot from MAC's Riri LE, I didn't get anything.

Drugstore LE's in November

November is full of awesome limited editions. I haven't spent that "much" on drugstore items in a long time.  What a bad, bad girl.. Let's go through them:

Catrice - SpectaculART

Essence - Home Sweet Home

b2 - Red Vamp Edition

Gosh Sets

I bought items of all the Catrice & Essence collections and as you can see in the blog post below also from the Bipa one. Of three I already posted about, just click on the links, the others will follow in the next couple of days.

Have a wishlist?

Drugstore Haul

This is the "old" haul I was talking about. I bought these a couple of weeks ago.

After reading all the amazing reviews and that it transforms into a lovely highlighter on the face, I decided to try it:

I wanted a plain white polish and the one by Essence looked lovely on swatches, so I gave it a new home.

Heard a lot good stuff about that as well and I don't really have such a clean gold eyeliner.

Current Drugstore Collections

Yesterday, I went shopping with a lovely blogger friend and we came across a DM which had full displays of every current collection!!

Here the pictures:

I had planned to buy a lot from this collection, but in the end I was a very, very good girl and didn't get anything.

Originally, I wanted both blush sticks, but I never use the blush sticks I own, so no blush sticks for me.

I wanted both mascaras, but I can put liquid eyeliner on a disposable mascara wand and coat my lashes wonderfully.

I wanted the kabuki, but again, I always end up using my normal powder brushes.

The shimmer powder tempted me as well, but it looked like chalk, no visible shimmer, just plain white powder..

The Catrice collection, which luckily doesn't interest me as well.

Look what ended up being available at DM!! See the fourth polish that weren't available at Müller?.. I bought it, the rest of the products I wanted, I already own.

They also had the new Essence collection:

Nothing special, I was tempted to buy the highlighter gel, but I never use those lol, so a pass as well, I only bought one polish.

I'm gonna show you my mini-haul soon. Haven't I been a super-good girl? *gg*

Current Drugstore Collections

Just thought I share those with you. I took them at a Müller, so I'm not sure if all of those will be available at every drugstore such as DM or BIPA. Buuuut I heard that the new Catrice collection is available at DM's as well. :-)

Have a nice Sunday!

Drugstore Haul and Swatches: Essence Natventurista

What an unpronounceable name.. Wonder what they were smoking *gg*

My haul:

gel eyeliner: barefoot through the moss

blush stick: you're my dragonfly, sugar

I already regret buying this, it broke while swatching:

Swatches of the blush stick:

Looks nice, but I can't say if it works well on the face yet.

Did you get anything? If the blush stick, is it better than mine?

Nail Quickie's by Bipa

Again something I wanted to post for ages and now it is also posted on other blogs.. That happens when you don't publish immediately, whatever. *gg*

Those polishes are supercute and only cost 3€, they have 5 ml in them, small, but let's be honest, have you ever used up a nail polish except a base coat?

Tropical, Hot Love, Rush, Street

They have great colour pay off and normal dry-time. So I totally would recommend them to everyone who can get a hold on them.

A gorgeous dupe for Lush's Bath Bombs

First of all I oughta say that I'm not on a campaign "Sabotage Lush!". It's just they are super pricy and we all deserve our Bath Bomb baths when it's cold outside.

So I went to one of our drugstores, Müller (love it), and bought a Bath Bomb from their own brand.

It was a peach & jojoba one which smelled wonderful - for 1,29€!!!!!!

For reference, a bath bomb the same size from Lush costs about 6€. I mean that's a lot for a bath bomb which is gone after one use.

So I tried it out and documented it. lol For information: I don't own a bath tub, but my parents do and they live one floor above me so I "borrow" their fancy tub when I need it.

I'm not a bath tub fan in general, I always feel like laying in my own dirty water and this thought truly grosses me out, so I shower first. I know it's ridiculous, cause I shower every day and don't get really "dirty", but still.

So here the job this little bomb did:

Bath tub without anything in it, it only looks so turquoise in the pic.

The bomb going crazy.

Endresult. It still looked peachy enough that one didn't start to think about blood. *gg*

The bomb did great and it was soooo much cheaper. So I really would recommend looking for alternatives to the expensive Lush version. There are enough products out there that we don't wanna miss and that are expensive, let's save where it's possible. :-)

Drugstore Darlings

Not everyone is so willing to spend (way too ;-) ) much money on Make Up, so I decided I pick so nice things from one of our local drugstores.

The store is called "Bipa" and unfortunately I doubt that is exists anywhere outside Austria, but no fear, I'll come to that later.

The collection is called "exotic colours" and I bought all the shadows except the blue one.

They look quite intense, don't they? Nevertheless, as expected the colour pay off is not the one a Mac shadow would give you. I was a little sad about that, but hey, they only cost 3€ each.

Here some swatches:

With a good eyeshadow base (I used UDPP) they stay where one puts them and they do so the whole day, I tried it!

So, overall, I think the result is really nice for what you pay, but it also reminded me why I started buying MAC products. Drugstore shadows just don't reach that level of colour pay off.

I think about selling them, anyone interested? I only used them once for the swatches and one look to see if they crease. Let me know in the comments if you want them.

Guinevere
