Out and About with Origins & Smashbox

The releases keep coming. Origins just came out with a new serum :-) I love love love Origins and am always excited about news from this brand. So this is a product quite targeting my age group.

While enjoying a lovely breakfast and presentation we got to see the new quarter-life crisis serum with willow bark named Original Skin!

My age group gets more and more recognition in skin care. For years there was just young and mostly troubled skin care, a bit of unspecified one for all age groups and the anti-age range. It's interesting to see more and more of this. It smells lovely and I will do a seperate post after some testing. :)

Besides the lovely Origins serum Smashbox was also there with their new contouring kit.

Soon, there will also be a contour stick trio available. Quite interesting. :-) Cream products are never to be overlooked when it comes to contouring.

Here it is and it is awesome!

I will review the trio as well of course. :-)

It was a great morning and I enjoyed it immensly, I will share my thoughts about the products soon.

Love,
Valerie

A new Canon, the Smashbox snake and my Birthday

Hey guys,

Literally every time I wanted to post something this week something happened, but not tonight!

This week was quite eventful. On Wednesday my husband had his birthday, on Friday was mine and on Thursday was our first wedding anniversary.

My birthday was really lovely. We had a nice lunch with my parents, stopped at Bottelini and then basically walked through the city.

At the moment I'm a bit obsessed with Starbucks. I know it's a sin for someone who's from Vienna with its rich coffee house tradition, but I can't help it. *gg* I just love Starbucks so of course I had to get my free birthday drink which ended up to be a Valencia Orange Refresha:

Since we're still in the process of renovating our new home we stopped at Kare, Interio and Butlers and spontaneously ended up going to the cinema.

I didn't expect anything and found the movie really funny. Did you see it? Zac Efron is so ripped it's weird..

We had some time before the movie started and I got my honey to go to the next MAC (which was at Gerngross) with me. He soon vanished and I walked by the Marionnaud and couldn't believe my eyes. The Smashbox Santigold collection (or whatever its named *g*). I saw pictures of it months ago, loved the palettes, but thought the LE was long gone, but no!

I just had to get one..

In the end, I got myself those goodies as presents to myself.

I love the weird taste of the rose lemonade (got it at Bottelini) and I wanted this Starbucks tumbler for quite a while and of course the gorgeous palette.

In addition, my husband and I got ourselves a new camera. It was time, I need something better for the blog and after looking at different models and systems we ended up with the Canon Powershot G16 and I love it. Don't know how to get the date out of the photo yet, though.. *gg*

Time flies by so quickly. It's scary, but at least I'm surrounded by loving people. :) Stay tuned for a snake palette look, the new Glossybox content and some more fun posts.

Love,
Valerie

The Marionnaud Exchange Experience

Hey guys,

These pics were waiting to be posted for quite a while now, but I always forgot.. But tonight's the night!

After christmas I bought a Helena Rubinstein Mascara (the one with the leo print) and a Chanel Rouge Allure Laquer - and never used them. You know my "worship" thing, but the longer those two were lying around, the more I thought about exchanging them for something else. 34€ for a mascara is sooo much and after I bought the new Mac Peacocky lipglosses, which are soo much like the Rouge Allure Laquers, I decided to try it.

I went there and asked if it would be possible - cause I didn't have the receipt anymore, but the Marionnaud price stickers were still on the products. The woman I talked to said it's fine. I came back another day, she had the day off and the other saleswoman agreed quite reluctantly, but at least she did. So I started looking.

I needed a lot of time, which they obviously disliked, but in the end I chose these:

Alessandro nail polish Nr. 202:

An amazing Smashbox set, which was on sale for only unbelievable 15€. :-) I will a do an extra post about it.

I always wanted one of those YSL lipsticks, such beautiful packaging!!

AND the Harajuku perfumes recently got a new outfit and the old ones were on sale for only 5€ each, those were the ones they had left, I was soooo happy, I love the packaging!! So cute.. What a bargain!

Word of advice:
If you ever go to Marionnaud, please bring cash, otherwise they freak out easily.. I had to pay 40 cents and I didn't have cash with me, I never have, I'm an unemployed student for fuck sake, and after rifling through my bag I was short 8 cents. What an embarassing situation..

So I said I just get some money from the cash machine across the street, so I wouldn't bother her with my searching any longer, but I obviously had reached her breaking point.. She told me that would block the cash desk too long (the store was empty) and she rather pay the 8 cents by herself and gave me a look that said: Leave and never come back!

Well, I know which Marionnaud store I will never enter again..

Love,
Guinevere
