Teachers Log and Nail Polish
It's been a bit quiet here the last couple of days, but for some reason most professors at University assume nobody has to work and we have nothing to do than fill our days with revision and homework..
I know that some of you are studying to become a teacher as well, so I thought you might enjoy some impressions of what happened this week:
I asked my students what their favorite day of the week is. It's one of our current topic with other vocabulary (in our first level) and most answered, what a surprise, Friday or Saturday, but there were a few who said Monday. :) It really made me happy, nevertheless, if I'm honest, my favorite day is Saturday. *Gg*
When it comes to getting the pupils to pay attention, I gotta tell you, changing the seating arrangement can make a huuuge difference.
The third and hardest thing I "learned" this week was that (at least for me) it is incredible though to seperate yourself from throwbacks when something doesn't work out. You're trying and they are just too lazy to learn or even worse - they are trying, but just aren't good enough. That's hard and it feels unfair.
But enough for today with teaching. This week one of the shades I chose was a creme colour - China Glaze's "Vintage Creme", what do you think?
I love wearing different nail polishes at school. If I find time I wear a different one each day. :) A pop of colour, but not too much.
When it comes to my make up, I always wear the same look, a subtle cat eye, nothing too extravagant, but still me.
Have a great Sunday.
Love,
Guinevere

China Glaze "I'm With The Lifeguard" and his cousins
Green is one of my favorite nail polish colours and so this had to get a new home.
Lovely, right? But of course, this isn't the only green neon polish China Glaze ever released. Here are two comparisons of previous LE's and there is a difference, even if the pictures didn't capture it that well.
From left to right:
Kiwi Cool-Ada, I'm With The Lifeguard, Limonyte
Not easy to see, but there is a difference which is enough for polish addicts to get all three:
Top to bottom:
Limonyte
I'm With The Lifeguard
Kiwi Cool-ada
The difference between those three is the undertone.
While Limonyte has a yellow undertone, I'm With The Lifeguard has a silver one. Kiwi Cool-Ada has not really an undertone at all, it's a quite clean neon.
So which one is your favorite? Of those three, I like Limonyte the best, but I'm happy to own all of them.
Love,
Guinevere

Birthday Haul
On wednesday was my 25th birthday and it was quite a nice day. It had a few hickups, but I'm gonna do a post about that later.
Since I'm not 12 anymore the gift giving policy changed a bit and knowing that nobody from my family and close friends would buy my anything even remotely related to beauty I bought something for myself. lol
I ordered several products from Shining Cosmetics, my favorite online shop. I love that store, the prices are more than fair, the shipping rate is okay and the variety of products is amazing.

Mini Haul: China Glaze
Today is kind of a sad day for me, I lost a follower :-( and I always ask myself why, I try to make this blog as good as I possibly can.. So, thanks again to you who are staying with me. :-)
I got those polishes two days ago and while they are pretty and everything I must say if I would have seen these in real life I wouldn't have bought them.. They aren't as special as I thought they would be. That's the huge disadvantage with buying products online. Swatches can be misleading.
I noticed this with the OPI collections. You can get OPI now in Austria and even though I would never purchase them for the price sold in our store, it's great to see the colours in real life. Already saved me a lot of money. *gg*
