MAC's Temperature Rising Preview Night

Yesterday, MAC released a bunch of collections and invited to take a peek. I was stuck at University and arrived an hour after the event started and the two products I wanted - the TR nail polishes - were sold out. :-( I'll get them on Thursday!

But let's look at some photos:

Temperature Rising:

Art of the Eye:

and of course some hot men serving snack.

This time they also got a DJ, how cool's that?

They Fashion Sets were also available, but they didn't have a display for it yet.

Here the two gorgeous nail polishes I want so badly:

How cool are those? Three coats each, without a top coat. I didn't expect them to be so pigmented.

The Temperature Rising LE has a bunch of gorgeous products. I would buy everything if I had the money.

If I wouldn't have to pay back a loan I would buy both blushes, all the shadow pencils, the nail polishes, two bronzers and two lipsticks.
Unfortunately, none of this will happen so it will be only a tiny haul including the nail polishes and eventually a blush. Depending on how responsible I feel on Thursday. *gg*

Art of the Eye has several great products as well, I love bold colours, but I have more than enough eyeshadows and the kohl eye pencils are permanent at the pro stores, so no need to hurry.

What will you get??

Illamasqua - Paranormal

I have a little gift for you. A first look at Illamasquas new collection -> Paranormal.
All pictures belong to Illamasqua.

Some swatches for you. The UV polishes are my favorites:

Geist:

Omen:

Seance:

Ouija:

The two lipsticks:
ESP:

Posture:

The palette is another cool product, sadly Illamasqua did't post swatches on their homepage. They have a new finish.

Illamasqua says: "This unique water-resistant eye shadow can't quite decide if it's a cream or powder. Instead it combines the best of both worlds, delivering the textured silky appearance of a powder, but with the deep colour wash of a cream"

Can't wait to see swatches. In my opinion, their new collection is once more a gorgeous mix of cool products. Typically Illamasqua. :-) It officially launches on Tuesday, 30th April.

Let me know if you buy something and your experience with it. I would love to buy the quad and all the polishes.

Review: Garnier Spitzen Held

Shortly, after Garnier released my beloved Wunder Öl, they came out with this fella named Spitzen Held. It's part of their new anti-spliss series. I already talked about the shampoo & conditioner. :-)

It's a serum for severely damaged hair which you massage in your hair-ends and it seals your spliss and protects it.

My thoughts:

The scent is quite artificial, I don't like that very much. I think it does a good job in moisturizing my hair-ends, but as already mentioned in my other review about the shampoo and conditioner I don't believe any product out there is able to heal or reverse spliss.

I think it helps preventing and it made my hair shiny and nice, which I liked a lot. Nevertheless, I prefer my Wunder Öl (also by Garnier). It smells lovely and does a great job. So, if you need an oil for your hair, I would buy the Wunder Öl. Don't get my wrong, Spitzen Held isn't bad, but I just prefer the other one.

Wedding Update

It's been a while since I talked about my wedding and I read you are interested. :-)

I finally found affordable or let's say it - cheap - white shoes. I'm just not willing to spend 80 bucks for shoes I'll wear one time..

They are pretty basic and were only 19,90€. I hope I'll be able to walk down the meadow, where we'll get married.

We'll marry in front of the Retzer Windmühle. In front of that glass porch.

My maid of honor also started to work on some table decorations, it looks lovely. But I'm still not sure which color our decoration scheme should be..

What do you think??

Gosh Oh My Summer Colors

I walked through Retz's Bipa and found this cool display. A ton of their Oh My polishes including some really cool top coats.

Sorry about the quality, not my best Samsung photo day. *gg*

What makes this even cooler is a 30% off offer for 30 bonus points.

I was a good girl and didn't get anything, but I'm sure some of you will love them.

Review: Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover

There are several of these pots out there, but I never bought one, so I was more than curious when I got this.

I must say I didn't expect much, but this is incredible. I loooove it!!!

There's a lot of liquid in the sponge and it's so clean, no mess with too much remover on your cotton pad. You just dip your nail in and turn it around and the polish is gone. Another plus is that it's acetone free!

I used it with several manicures, one had six coats and it still was no problem at all. I used it with my sand manicure I showed you, it took about 33 turns, but it still worked!

The question is how long it will last before it dries up or loses its power, but so far I'm absolutely in love.

NOTD

The gorgeous "seductive" from p2. I thought their sand polishes are limited editions, but they are permanent. Yay!

I love it! It's so cool and I don't think I have a shade like it in my stash.

Review: Balea Brazil Mango

A quick review of the new mango shower gel by Balea. I'll keep it simple, I love it. It smells like summer and fruity mango. Another gorgeous product for an unbeatable price. :-)

Review: Garnier Fructis Schaden Löscher Shampoo & Conditioner

How was your weekend lovelies? Mine was amazing... I have a new place I call home.

This meadow is so cheesy-adorable, it looks like the set from Twilight.

Sadly, once more it's Monday, but let's deal with it with a good review:

I love Garnier and was super happy when I got those two. It's crazy how many different shampoo series you can get and yet there always comes a new one. :-)

This series is made for long, damaged hair promising to erase and seal spliss and give you healthy, shiny hair.

What do I think?

It smells a bit different than the other Garnier hair products, still fruity, but more subtle. I love the way it foams, it makes my hair feel really clean and you only need tiny amounts of product. The part with the shiny hair is definitely true, it looks and feels soft and glowing afterwards. Love that!

For the spliss effect, personally I don't think it's possible to heal or erase spliss, just like you can't reverse wrinkles, you can lessen the appearence, but that's it. I think with this shampoo it's the same. My hair looks healthy and feels soft, but I don't think my spliss can be erased.

I think this is a great product which can help prevent spliss and help keep your hair shiny and healthy. Definitely, a nice addition to Garniers hair range.

OPI - Get Your Number

I have a beautiful liquid sand polish from OPI for you: "Get Your Number" from the Mariah Carey collection.

I wouldn't have thought it, but I loooove the sand finish.

Balea Summer Glam

Today I have a lovely body lotion for you. It's part of the new and limited summer products from Balea. It's named "Summer Glam" and has some golden shimmer particles in it.

Normally, I don't like it when lotions have shimmer in them. I don't wanna look like a crystal ball, but this one is subtle enough, that I don't mind.

The lotion smells very nice, tropical and fruity.

Once more, Balea releasd a lovely product. It smells nice, moisturizes lovely and the shimmer isn't overwhelming. What do you want more?

Catrice Candy Shock Haul & NOTD

Catrice's Candy Shock LE has been out for a few weeks. Originally, I wanted to get the blush and highlight powder, but after reading some bad reviews and seeing it for myself I walked away with a full wallet.

Actually, I didn't buy anything, but my sister did. :-) I saw the "Candy Shock" polish on her desk and stole it for some photos. I found it interesting, because of that subtle pink shimmer, but it's SO subtle, I could hardly capture it with my camera even in full sunlight and I didn't see it at all when it was on my nails. When the sun hits it, you get a tiny tiiiiny hint of that pink, but definitely not enough and so it's just a plain pastel colour.

Nothing special, but unforgiving. These shades always are..

Did you buy polishes from the collection??

Review: Maybelline Jade Super Stay 14 H Lipstick

Maybelline Jade released a new range of lipsticks. A development of the 14hours glosses that feel like you're wearing nail varnish on your lips.

I'm gonna put it short - I love them, but they come with some tiny drawbacks. Before I'll go into detail, I'll show you some photos.

I got the shade "Infinitely Fuchsia". A bright, cool pink, a lovely colour!

Now to the review:

Maybelline says it lasts 14 hours, is comfortable to wear, doesn't dry out your lips and doesn't have this typical "'crumbling" when fading. And guess what, I actually agree, mostly, but let's go into detail:

The first thing that blew me away was the colour pay-off. It's amazing, like a MAC lipstick. You put it one and get full coverage in one coat. I love that!

It is longlasting, but if you eat and drink normally, you won't get 14 hours. You get 7 hours which is still pretty amazing. This is after three hours after eating some snacks.

I applied it, but had some transfer when I tried it on my arm.

You really have to tissue-off the excess product: After that it's perfect, of course this does take away the little shine the lipstick has. I like matte lipsticks, but if you want other finishes that won't satisfy you. You'll need some gloss:

It wasn't particularly drying, but I wouldn't call it moisturizing. It's okay and after you get away the excess product it really does feel like you're wearing nothing.

Another thing I loved is that the lipstick stayed where I put it, literally. It didn't bleed or anything. I didn't use a lipliner, but it didn't move one inch. Incredible.

After seven hours and dinner, it was gone, but not in that crumbly way, it faded away like normal lipsticks do:

All in all, I can savely say that I love it. I think I found the lipstick (not that shade) that I'll wear on my wedding day. I don't have to worry that it moves which is always a big concern for me, it won't give my fiancé lipstick stains and it will last. And let's be honest, I can alway reapply after I ate.

I really recommend it. There are ten mostly bright shades. I don't know if the others have the same colour pay-off, but I think so. I will try it for you. It's a great product and definitely worth the 12,99€.

Guinevere
