Rocking Oktoberfest

Today, I have the pleasure to be one of the bloggers that finishes the Oktoberfest week.

Lovely Petra had the idea to do a theme week. So Hannah, Katii, PixiPetra, Julia, Eva-Maria and Vicky each did a post on the famous Oktoberfest. Today, it's my and Vicky's turn.

I decided to take a different look at the famous Oktoberfest. While there are all those classic colours that come to mind: blue, white, rose etc. Oktoberfest is all about partying in the end.

So, here is my rocking Oktoberfest manicure for you.

Nevertheless, I feel like you need to see a "Dirndl" here. *g* Since I don't have one, I'll show you a selfie of my beautiful sister wearing hers.

Have you ever been to the Oktoberfest? I haven't, but well, I don't drink alcohol and am not that fond of drunk crowds so I'm fine. *g*

I hope you liked my post and don't forget to check out the others from my blogger friends. Just click on their names and you'll be right there. :-)

Review: L'oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Souffle d'Or Shampoo & Conditioner

Hey guys,

Today's my day off. What a treat :-) I got these two a little while ago and now it's review time!

They have a handy pump which I absolutely love:

What L'oréal says:

Specially formulated for fine to normal hair, L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Souffle d'Or will give your hair a dazzling shine. Infused with precious argan and safflower oils, it intensely nourishes your hair without weighing it down. It works to gently cleanse away dirt, oil and impurities from your hair and scalp, whilst imparting your locks with a beautiful, healthy sheen, thanks to the golden sparkles that catch the light for a show-stopping effect. Your hair will be left soft, smooth and wonderfully supple.

My opinion:

Well, I wish I could tell you something different, but I don't like them. They have a rather heavy perfume scent which isn't my thing and even though they seem to be full of argan oil I don't find them exceptionally moisturizing. What annoys me the most though is the fact that my hair gets greasy again after one day.. That's just too damn soon. For the sparkle, well it mostly reminded me of a princess kids shampoo.

They are parabene and silicone free and exclusively available in salons.

I hope this was helpful.

Love you guys,
Guinevere

Nerding-out Lego Style

In some ways I'm definitely a nerd and I'm completely fine with it. *g* Luckily, I found someone who's pretty similar to me. Immediately leaving a restaurant after finishing or watching TV series every night for hours.

We were kinda "looking" for a new hobby since going to the movies got less and less attractive thanks to all the crap they are releasing. One example "Lone Ranger"..

Back to the beginning. I love Lego, one reason to get a child! ;) So, when I first saw the Lego Tower Bridge in London I wanted it immediately. The heavy prize tag stopped me though. 219€ isn't exactly a bargain..

Recently, a Lego store opened in the SCS, which I love, and we decided to go for it and buy that bridge. A dream came true.

Fun started:

I started with those cool vehicles.

After half a day of hard work it was done:

It's such a gorgeous bridge. I love it. It just needs the perfect place now.

At the moment one gets a free mini VW bus if you buy something over 55€. :)

Do you have a nerdy hobby? I love our new one. *g*

Review: Maybelline Jade Fit Me Stick

This anti-shine foundation stick is a new favourite of mine. It's an addition to the Fit Me range. A cream stick with a powder core that minimizes shine on your face.

Let's take a look at it:

Swatch time. My hand looks really weird in this picture..

Now the stick in action:

Nothing on my face, right after showering and freshly done eyebrows (that's why the area is so red)

Now the fun part - paint your face like your in a tribe:

smooth it out:

I have the lightest shade, which is 120 "vanille". I've been using it the last two weeks and I absolutely love it. Even though it is a cream product, it distributes like a dream and turns into powder.

It gives you light to medium coverage, but it won't cover any red spots or general redness. Nevertheless, it takes only seconds to even out your complexion and you can easily handle those red little devils with a concealer.

I can definitely recommend this product!! Since all displays have testers it's easy to get the right shade. Let me know if you try it and what you think.

Review: Maybelline Jade Mastershape Brow Pencil

Hey guys,

Gosh I'm so paralyzed by the last Dexter episode. I can't believe it's over.. Not gonna spoil anything, but I definitely need someone to talk to! *g*

But this is no support group, it's a beauty blog and I have a review for you. :-) Since I can't find my beloved MAC eyebrow pencil which truly drives me crazy, I needed a substitute.

I decided to try the Mastershape brow pencil by Maybelline Jade in "deep brown". It comes in three shades, this is the darkest. Let's take a look at it:

Now on to a swatch:

My thoughts:

I'm a big fan of this pencil. It's great. I use it every day. It lasts very well, the only thing that annoys me is that it's a bit too soft for my taste . It could be harder, but other than that this is a keeper! :-)

Nail Polish Organization Porn

Here it is, the most amazing wall display ever made in history. It holds all my polishes, almost.. lol.

It perfectly harmonizes with our oven.

What do you think? Could this be more gorgeous?

I already put in another "order". *gg*

Manhattan Community Colours

Retz is really keeping me away from my computer.. We have the slowest internet connection ever, but hopefully this is over in two weeks. I'll blog you to death from that moment on. *gg*

But now, let's look at my haul. :-) The nail polish LE "Community Colours" has been out for a few weeks now and there are a some really beautiful shades. I bought these:

Let's look at some swatches:

What do you think? I love them, especially "Limmering Lime".
