MAC's Osbourne Collection

Tomorrow is the day! MAC's Kelly & Sharon Osbourne collection will finally be available in our stores. We're exceptionally late this time. I've been excited for the LE ever since the first picture showed up on Sharons twitter account..

This collection is full of gorgeous products, I literally could buy EVERY item, but sadly my budget is rather non-existent. This truly sucks.. But let's admire the collection a little more.

I could stare at those products all day.. The colours, the packaging.. I have the Temptalia Round Up's of the LE bookmarked ever since Christine posted them. *gg*

I'm gonna be right there tomorrow, admiring the collection and desperatly hoping that the force will be with me. lol

Alverde Colourful Surprise LE Review & Swatches

A little while back Alverde sent me some products of their new limited edition and there are some awesome items in this collection.

Let's take a closer look at the items I got

Lipgloss in the shades: Paradise Red, Exotic Coral, Orange Blossom

Lipstick in Flowery Coral:

Eyeshadow Palettes in Coral Beach and Golden Orchid

Eye Pencils in Violett Cassis, Golden sand and Jungle Fever

Mascaras in Blue River, Black Spider

Blush Stick in Tropicana

Pretty collection, right? Now on to swatches and then I'll tell you what I think

Golden Sand, Jungle Fever, Violett Cassis, Paradise Red, Exotic Coral, Orange Blossom, Flowery Coral

Shadow Quad Golden Orchid:

Shadow Quad Coral Beach:

Blush Stick Tropicana

Now to the review, I'm gonna keep it short. :) There are tops and flops in this collection.

The absolute winners are the glosses. I loved them, they are creamy and go on opaque. They remind me a lot of MAC's Cremesheen Glass.

On the other end are the liners which were a complete fail for me. The colour was far from opaque and the lasting power was poor as well. Stay away from them. The pretty "Coral Beach" eyeshadow quad wasn't that amazing as well. :-/

The other items are solid, good products which are definitely worth a look. If you are a gloss girl you need to check out the glosses. They are awesome.

I hope this was helpful. :) I for one love posts with swatches. *g*

Glossybox Summer Holiday Edition

Hello lovelies,

The new Glossybox arrived last week and it's one gorgeous box!!

Let's take a look, I apologize in advance for the date on the right side. I'm still not totally accustomed to my new camera. *gg*

What an awesome box. I got:

  • Matrix Biolage Hydrasource Shampoo: I love the Biolage shampoos, I currently use the Shine one and I can't wait to use this one.
  • Palmolive Mediterranean Moments: A shower gel with argain oil and a lovely scent. I have no idea how to descibe it, but it smells great.
  • Teez Cosmestics Beautiful Eyes Flat Eye Brush:

It feels soft and from what I can say it's great to pack on shadow on your eyes. The design is great as well.

  • Model Co Bronzing Powder: a bronzer with some golden particles in it.

  • Figs & Rouge Vanilla Pistachio hand cream: I love these small hand creams. I couldn't detect much of a scent, but that's fine with me. It absorbs quickly and has a good size for travelling.
  • Liebeskind key chain: This was the most surprising item. It wasn't mentioned in the booklet that came with the box. A surprise item I guess and it is gorgeous!! The leather feels so soft.

What a gorgeous box. I love it. What do you think?

Love,
Valerie

A new Canon, the Smashbox snake and my Birthday

Hey guys,

Literally every time I wanted to post something this week something happened, but not tonight!

This week was quite eventful. On Wednesday my husband had his birthday, on Friday was mine and on Thursday was our first wedding anniversary.

My birthday was really lovely. We had a nice lunch with my parents, stopped at Bottelini and then basically walked through the city.

At the moment I'm a bit obsessed with Starbucks. I know it's a sin for someone who's from Vienna with its rich coffee house tradition, but I can't help it. *gg* I just love Starbucks so of course I had to get my free birthday drink which ended up to be a Valencia Orange Refresha:

Since we're still in the process of renovating our new home we stopped at Kare, Interio and Butlers and spontaneously ended up going to the cinema.

I didn't expect anything and found the movie really funny. Did you see it? Zac Efron is so ripped it's weird..

We had some time before the movie started and I got my honey to go to the next MAC (which was at Gerngross) with me. He soon vanished and I walked by the Marionnaud and couldn't believe my eyes. The Smashbox Santigold collection (or whatever its named *g*). I saw pictures of it months ago, loved the palettes, but thought the LE was long gone, but no!

I just had to get one..

In the end, I got myself those goodies as presents to myself.

I love the weird taste of the rose lemonade (got it at Bottelini) and I wanted this Starbucks tumbler for quite a while and of course the gorgeous palette.

In addition, my husband and I got ourselves a new camera. It was time, I need something better for the blog and after looking at different models and systems we ended up with the Canon Powershot G16 and I love it. Don't know how to get the date out of the photo yet, though.. *gg*

Time flies by so quickly. It's scary, but at least I'm surrounded by loving people. :) Stay tuned for a snake palette look, the new Glossybox content and some more fun posts.

Love,
Valerie

"Where's the ocean?" Make Up Look

I saw a lot of photos of our beautiful oceans lately, no surprise it's summer, so something blue was due.

Who misses clear turquoise water too??

Eine Bestandsaufnahme

While my german-speaking followers know this word, the rest of you might wonder what the hell that means.

I love the English language, so much that I'm studying it, but there's no way around the fact that German has much more words to describe stuff.

Bestandsaufnahme basically means inventory or evaluation of a situation.

The last six months were really difficult and it wasn't easy to get back on my feet. But here I am. What I wanna change is my lifestyle. I wanna be healthier and lose weight.

I decided to join Weight Watchers again. It worked well for me the last time and I must admit that it's too difficult for me on my own. I tried and tried, but it never worked. I stopped going, because it's expensive, but now I'll see it as an investment in my health.

I'm gonna try to keep you up to date with my progress. My husband and I will go together to the course.

So, my evaluation for now - I'm too fat and I hate it. I want to change it and I will try my best. For the workout part I will start Blogilates. :)

I hope you join me on my way. :)

Love,
Valerie
