L'Oréal's Make Up cube!!!

Hey guys,
Warning this is a huge post: *gg*

A few days ago, I was invited by L'Oréal to get a make over in a gorgeous looking cube on Graben. Why the cube?

It was the Vienna Fashion Night and because of that, one could just go into that cube on Tuesday and Wednesday and get a make over - hair and make up!! Quite an awesome deal and that for free.

A few impressions:

How stylish is that? I wanna have that cube in my garden!! The theme of the make up was "Colour Blocking", which you hear everywhere at the moment.

Well and now the horror story starts.. I wanna say right now, that it's NOT L'Oréals fault! What I'm talking about? The make up artist who "violated" me. I asked - the make up artists were hired and interfered by a beauty agency.

I had bad luck, cause the others definitely did a better job, but my "make up artist" did everything wrong. Everything one can do wrong. I was truly shocked.

I asked for a flashy colour blocking look, I mean that's the freaking theme, but she seemed overwhelmed by that task. I asked what this name meant (of course I know what "Colour Blocking" means) just to test her, but she couldn't answer that. Look at that workstation:

It took her about 30 minutes to apply !one! eyeshadow and it was so uneven that she tried to fix it for 20 min, with a fucking cotton bud and make up wipes. It felt like she was trying to scrape my lid off. She didn't succeed to even it out..

That's the end result, you can cleary see the "unevenness" and that it is just covered with a nude shadow on the left side. Again it took her 30 min for this:

The lips were okay, but she did lipstick - lipgloss - lipstick.. Furthermore, I asked for a flashy lipstick (again colour blocking) and this was her choice:

The worst thing was that there was NO hygiene. She didn't clean the brushes she used on the last person (bad brush quality as well), I asked too late and she even tried to put the mascara on with the wand that was in the mascara, but I stopped her in time. Just think about how many germs were on that one wand..

The hygiene thing was a general problem. All the make up artists worked that unhygienic.. One thing was sure, I had the worst make up artist, a friend of mine got her make up done as well and look how lovely she looks:

I mean this is super simple, but at least nicely done.

I'm really sad, cause this was such a gorgeous idea from L'Oréal and the quality of the L'Oréal products was really great. I feel bad writing this, but well this was my experience.

It has nothing to do with L'Oréal itself, but it's an example of how many people who claim to be "professionals" have no idea what they are doing and the people who put their faith in them are the ones who loose.. Imagine this "make up artist" at a wedding.. The poor bride..

Well, but the idea itself was gorgeous, they also had a little raffle:

One could win lipsticks, I didn't win. *gg*

I also got a goodie-bag, which I'll show you soon. Did you get your make over? How was it?

Guinevere

Bipa Online Store!!!

OMG - Bipa has an online store!!!!!!!!! I just saw it online "by accident" *gg*

Let's look at some screenshots:

The beauty area:

My favorite Bipa brushes are here as well:

The OPI Texas collection is online too:

If only those wouldn't cost 13,99€...

Everything is there, I'm really impressed. You can select brands, price ranges and so on. The FAQ's area is neat as well.

For now they only ship to Austria, but I read on their page that they try to change that asap. Over 45€ shipping is free, under that 3,95€. One can pay with Visa, Master Card and Paybox.

I think this is a really great idea. Reminds me of the Boots online store. I don't think I will use it, cause I have enough Bipas close to me, but again I really like that they did it.

You can check it out here: http://www.bipa.at/

Origins Blogger Event

Hey dear ones,

This will be a huge post.. *gg*

On Wednesday Origins Austria invited some beauty bloggers to a let's-meet-each-other and presentation of some new products, which will hit stores in fall and I was one of them.

It's no secret that I love Origins and that invitation made me jump around our flat. It's such a wonderful feeling to get noticed, even though I'm still a small blog follower-wise. Every day I try my best to make sure you enjoy this blog and like reading it.

Here some impressions of the event. :-)

Lovely Elisabeth, who organised the evening, really put a lot of effort in the set-up:

I want this poster!!

 Elisabeth:

The new products:

new formulated: Super Spot Remover gel, Night-a-Mins cream, and the completely new Plantscription eye cream

We were lucky and got to take the Spot Remover Gel, the Night-a-Mins cream and the already soaked Spot Remover Pads with us. The eye cream isn't available yet, even for trying, but I hope I can test it as well. I adore my Starting Over night cream, I'm sure I'll love this a well.

I'm so excited for the Night-a-Mins cream, it's one of my absolute favorites ever since I bought it at the airport in London. :-)

We also got to try a few bestsellers:

My blogger colleagues :-) The guy who took the picture obviously wasn't that motivated.. I'm only gonna write the blog names which are links as well. From left to right: Coral and Mauve, Kirschblüte, Once upon a cream, Make up by Manu, Don't you wish you had some more and me. All of them were so lovely and I'm truly happy to have met them :-)

I'm gonna test the products thoroughly and review them asap. I already used the Super Spot Remover gel and the pads on my boyfriend, who has skin like a 15 year old. *g* After one night one could already see an improvement. Origins continues to amaze me. :-)

I hope you already know that, but I'm gonna say it again anyway. All my reviews are and will be honest. If you look at past reviews, I definitely said my honest opinion. lol

Thanks again to Origins and Elisabeth for the invitation. :-)

Have a great weekend guys.

Love,
Guinevere

My Catrice Papagena LE Haul

Finally. *gg* Sorry it took me so long to upload this.

This is what I got from the Papagena collection:

Let's get close:

..such pretty printing and lovely colour pay off, I just couldn't resist..

..those are more suited for fall in my opinion, but beautiful nevertheless..

..the blush stick that actually has colour pay off - > Tigerlilly..

..loving those, such unbelievable long lasting liners, haven't tried them on my lids yet, but can't wait..

..white and a dark green..

..the golden nuggets, which look so freaking amazing, that I wouldn't even mind a horrible colour pay off, but those are insanly pigmented!!

Did you get anything from that collection? I'm so curious..

Swatches will follow as well, soon, I promise. :-)

Youtube Make Up Look

What an uncreative title.. lol but I'm a bit in a hurry.

This was the make up I wore in my recent videos:

Sorry for the redness, it was freaking hot.. Normally, I wouldn't wear make up on such days, but I didn't want to be boring looking again.

Sims 3 Pets or finally Horses!!

Yes, I'm a Sims fan and okay with it. I played it all the time when I was younger! I don't really anymore, cause I just end up building stuff and leave again. *gg*

But this expansion pack is a big deal for all Sims 3 fans - finally an add on with freaking horses!!

Take a look at this cute teaser:

So maybe there are some Sims enthusiasts out there who read my blog. Check out this video, you'll love this. I mean how cool is Death, the thief-chasing dogs or that funny cat!

Product Disappointments May

I have to find all my favorite products, which are lying around somewhere, but as soon as I find them, I will do a favorites post as well.

This month I have two disappointments:

  • Schwarzkopf got2b rockin'it dry shampoo - does absolute nothing and smells way too strong..
  • the Maybelline studio duo shadow, which I reviewed here - it creases and that is a no-go for me

DM Balea Haul

Already June, crazy how time flies by..

I bought quite a few things over the last month at DM. Could be cause I'm on a "don't-buy-make-up" diet, but they had so many lovely things..

I didn't buy them at once and haven't used all of them yet, but so far I love all items.

I tried the Glücksmomente body lotion and absolutely love the smell, the Aloe Vera Handlotion - amazing product, the shaving gel Kiwi -  does its job nicely and smells great.

I can recommend all of these so far.

I'll keep you updated, if you're interested in any of those, buy them soon, most of them are limited editions. How I love limited editions.. *gg* Prices are great as well. :-)

Love,
Guinevere
