Gel Nails Update

I just thought I show you how my nails look after three weeks:

The gel is still quite intact, but one sees that my nails do indeed grow. *gg*

I have my refill appointment on wednesday, can't wait :-)

IsaDora Graffiti Nails aka Crackle Polish!!!!!

Ever since I heard of a polish that leaves a crackled pattern I wanted it. I know transdesign.com sells some, but the shipping costs are so high I couldn't justify ordering, which means a lot. lol

So when a kind friend of mine mailed me an article about these launching at Douglas, a local perfumery, I went there the same day and there they were, in all their holyness.

There are several colours available and that's how it looks like:

You just use them like a topcoat and after 30 seconds the pattern appears. The more colour you apply, the larger the crack patterns will be, but you have to be super quick, the dry crazy fast.

I bought the black one and tried them immediately, I know the polish is applied messy, but I was out of time and it's better than nothing:

They dry to a matte finish, but with a topcoat everything is shiny. :-) The graffiti polish soaks up the colour a little bit, on the third pic you can see that, I used two coats and that was the result, I would recommend three coats for a vibrant result. You can use any normal polish as a base and a normal topcoat, so don't let the ad foul you.. *g*

These retail for 8,90€ each, I think it is totally worth the money. Will you get one?

MAC Dazzle Lipstick & Dare to Wear Eyeshadow + Lipstick Haul

I so wanted to post this in time, but I didn't make it. :-( I bought these ten minutes after they set them up at the counter on monday. *gg*

So better late than never!

I bought only two lipsticks, good Guinevere, one Dare to Wear lipgloss and five eyeshadows.

Here we go:

The formula on the lipsticks is sooo gorgeous and I love the dazzle effect. The Dare To Wear lipgloss is super sticky, it has great colour pay off, but since it is soooo tacky I only bought one.

I'm an eyeshadow freak and I adore bright colours, so this collection was a little dream:

As always, matte colours don't swatch that well, but they are awesome nevertheless.

Baked To Last finally released

After the several announced release dates, the baked to last collection finally entered the stores.

Besides the fact that now all eyeshadow duos and duo blushes are out there, Body Shop launched Delipscious, a set of nine sheer lip colours and four tinted lip balms. They consist of 100% food-grade ingredients, including blueberry and pomegranate seed oils. They are almost as gorgeous as the eyeshadow duos. *g*

Will you get something? I already have. *gg*

MNY "I'm a sundiva" collection

Just a tiny tiny post about the new MNY limited edition "I'm a sundiva".

I took the pics in my break with my I Phone, sorry for the quality, but you get the idea :-)

There are three polishes, three eyeshadows, three lipgloss and one bronzing gel. Very earthy colours and shimmering bronze and orange tones.

My new Gel nails aka the Powder Box experience

Hello lovelies,

If you've read some of my posts you will know that I love nail polish, but that my nails tend to look horrendous no matter what I try. So when my nails kept cracking and my cuticles tearing I decided to give gel nails a chance.

I was so sick of this fucked up look.. I am very wary when it comes to gel nails, cause they automatically remind me of girls with too much fake tan..

But since I was desperate I gave it a try. I heard of a studio called Powder Box Nail Salon in the 13th district, which uses OPI products only and immediately knew, if gel nails then OPI gel nails. *gg*

Powder Box is run by Barbara, a lovely woman who is in the business for over 7 years now. I adore her, she is so nice. She also sells OPI polishes and treatments.

I wanna show you the studio, it is so beautiful!

And those are my nails, the pic was taken the day after I had them done. Since then I was there one more time to let her file them a little shorter. *Gg*

I'm really happy, I chose the natural tips, so I can use all my nail varnishes :-)

The nails need to be refilled every three to four weeks. My nails grow surprisingly fast, I never noticed, cause they always broke. So I will be there again soon.

Pricewise, her studio is okay. A new set costs 70€ and the refill 38,50€. There are several studios out there, who are cheaper, I know, but I think the quality of the products she uses and her knowledge is totally worth it.

So if you're a fan of OPI, live in Vienna and want gel nails or just a manicure or pedicure, you should definitely check this out.
