INGLOT arrived!

Hey my dear ones,

This is a long post, so get some coffee ;-)

I'm sure you've already heard about it, but one can't see enough pictures.

INGLOT arrived in Vienna! Finally, I'm so excited!! MAC just got some serious competition.. It's such a pleasure to see all those big, amazing brands coming to us.

Before I'll talk a little about it, here some pictures:

Lashes, as far as the eye can see:

Pretty sure you'll find your skin tone down there:

Brusheeeess:

Square eyeshadows are coming, but later more:

Professional through and through:

The famous (and freaking awesome) Freedom System:

Nail Polish Porn:

Some stuff for the professionals (love it):

I died a little..

Well, as you can see this store has everything a beauty lover needs. I'm sure you could go in without one single beauty product and leave with everything you'll ever need. *g*

This store is at Vienna's Donauzentrum and won't be the only one. :-)

There are stores planned in Linz and Salzburg and (if I remember correctly) one in the new shopping center G3 in Gerasdorf which will open soon including a Primark. (jumping-around-a-little)

The prices are reasonable. I'm sure you all know their freedom system in which you choose an empty palette and fill it with products such as eyeshadows, but powders and blushes as well.

Some numbers:

Single square eyeshadow (which will replace the round ones): 7€
Rainbow shadows: 10€
They have different palettes. You can get one for 3, 4, 5, 10, 20 or even 40 eyeshadows. The ones for 10 products is 10€ and for 5 shadows 7€.
Cream eyeliner: 13€
Pigments: 15€

There will be a pro discount available though I don't have any details yet and an online shop. :-)

This week, from Thursday until Saturday, they have a 10% off offer. So stop by if you find time.

Another cool thing that they did on opening day: If you visited the store between 2 and 3 pm and said a code word, you got a lipstick for free. I mean how freaking amazing is that?

It's a classic red shade and looks amazing. It's lovely pigmented and feels soft and smooth. Here it is:

Swatch:

I don't own many Inglot products (yet). I have three of their cool duocrome glosses and three of the famous, flaky nail polishes. I'm gonna show you some photos and swatches in the next couple of days. :-)

So what do you think? Happy that Inglot arrived? I am. I hope more brands will follow.

Guinevere

B Pretty - Ruby Surprise

Hello lovelies,

Today I have something really pretty for you. A couple of days ago, I was strolling through Bipa looking for Essie's "Don't Sweater It" (of course it was sold out) and saw something truly surprising.

A gorgeous nail polish from b pretty. The ones who know b pretty, know that this brand is not really something you usually look at. At least, I never did, it's rather something kids would buy when first experimenting with make up.

But they do have a LE at the moment with a chrome theme, I'm not a fan of chrome, but I saw this polish and couldn't believe my eyes. Look at that beauty:

Swatches:

Know what I mean? How gorgeous is this shade?

It's called "Ruby Surprise" and is truly amazing. Now the best part, it costs 1,29€. I mean how can you beat that?

What do you think? I think you should definitely buy it if you can. *g*

What do you think? Are you drooling like me??

Trends of Beauty Vienna 2012

I was really excited when I read that there will be a Beauty trade show in Vienna. After all, I've been waiting for years. *gg*

Besides 300 exhibitors, there will be two competitions and several lectures. It sounds great and does remind me of big shows like IMATS, the only catch (and that's a tough one) is that only professionals are allowed.

It's kinda sad, cause I think there is enough potential and many people would love to visit and enjoy the show. On the other hand, it's great for professionals to have a secluded show one can focus on products and equipment.

So, if you are a professional and have time, definitely stop by. I will. :-)

You have to identify yourself with one of these:
  • Membership card of the Wirtschaftskammer
  • Trade Certificate or Education Certificate
  • Confirmation of your employer

To find all the infos such as opening hours and location, visit their website here.

Origins Make A Difference Plus+

Since I'm a huge Origins fan, I always get more than excited when they announce a new product. So when I got the mail, I jumped around a little and of course I had to share that info with you.

After five years of research looking for the enzyme that is responsible for the balance of moisture in your skin, Caspase 14, they created a cream that moisturizes your face constantly, but balances it if needed.

As always, the cream is packed with a ton of amazing natural ingredients, such as urea, lychee, watermelon, rhodocrosit, orange, mint and many more.

To make sure the cream meets your needs, they created three versions.

For combination to dry skin:
For oily to combination skin:

and for dry and really dry skin:

I always welcome it when brands focus on different skin types within one series. It will be released in October containing 50 ml and will cost 44€. Not exactly a bargain, but Origins products never disappointed me so far and your face is a really important part of you, invest in it for the future.

So what do you think? I'm excited!!

Weight Loss Update

Hey guys,

I'm sure you've been curious about how I'm doing. Only okay, to be honest.

By now, I lost 11 kg and am holding that weight, which isn't bad, but I want to lose more. Life got in the way though..

With the death of our family dog and the black hole I fell in afterwards, I kinda stopped thinking about working out and counting points. I'm finally feeling better and am starting again to work on my body and nutrition.

I told you that I joined Weight Watchers and it really worked great, I constantly lost about a 1 kg a week, but I also payed 20€ a week for going there just to weigh myself..

There is an one hour course each week, but it's like a group therapy with topics such as "Stock your refridgerator right". I'm not the group therapy girl, so I usually skipped these courses and 20€ a week was too much just for using their scale.

I know how the system works, so I thought I can do this myself, but I must admit that as soon as I stopped going, it became much harder. The motivation and the "pressure" to succeed is gone and you get sidetracked way too easily. So in some way, I regret quitting, but as a student it's just so expensive..

It's twice as hard to keep going, but I'm really gonna try again, one just needs willpower and since I'm finally feeling better I'm positive I can do it on my own.

I'd love to copy and upload all the documents you need for using their system so you can try it without spending so much money, but I'm pretty sure I'll get sued by them if I'm doing that..

I decided to show you a picture of myself, not just of my face. It's not easy for me, cause I hate myself, but on the other side I think (or at least my therapist told me - yes I'm in therapy and not ashamed of it) it's important to be proud of each step as well.

This outfit is a big deal for me. You can't see it well, but I'm wearing trousers, something I haven't done for over a year, if not longer. My old one didn't fit anymore and now it does again. I'm also wearing this lovely coat I bought in Edinburgh which then only barely fit me, now it does.

What do you think? Do you like me?

Kronos does or I guess he's wondering why the hell I'm (for once) not focusing on him. Such a poor dog.. Maybe someone should call animal protection.. ;-)

Essie Stylenomics

Remember when I talked about Essie's new Stylenomics collection*click*? That day I got a package and couldn't believe my luck. Two polishes from exactly that collection:

Head Mistress:

Miss Fancy Pants:

They are so pretty, let's look at some swatches:

Head Mistress:

Miss Fancy Pants:

So beautiful! As always, the texture is lovely and the opacity perfect after two coats. I try to be strong, but I'm thinking about getting "Don't Sweater It".

The Body Shop BB Cream Swatches & Review

I couldn't attend the Body Shop event, thank to my cats, so a couple of days ago I stopped by my favorite store on Mariahilferstraße and checked it out. Let's see some pictures:

There are only three shades:

I got some samples and tested them at home:

They are white and transform as soon as they get in contact with your skin, pretty cool:

Unfortunately, that's where the cool stuff ends.. Let's take a look at the shades and you'll know what I mean:

Shade 1:

The longer you work it into your skin, the more it changes:

This one looked particularly disturbing at the end..

Shade 2:

Shade 3:

Know what I mean? Honestly, who chose those shades? Shade 2 looked the most promising for my skin tone, but only at the beginning. At the end, you can see it at the last photo, it didn't match as well..

They don't have a scent and you only need tiny amounts of products, but that's all in vain if the shade is so weird..

All in all, those looked promising, but completely failed in my opinion due to that weird selection of shades, which is quite sad..

If you wanna give them a try, please get a sample first! I wanted to show you a picture with it applied on my face, but it looked so horrible I just had to wash it off immediately..

What do you think?

MAC Haul

My promised (tiny) MAC haul and with all the new products released I'm quite proud that I only bought two *gg*

I think I chose very well and considered. Nothing I already own. These two qualified *g* The new 163 flat contour brush (how I love brushes..) and the polish Styleseeker.

Sooo beautiful and I promise I don't own such a shade! I was surprised as well *gg*

I'm sure many of you bought more, but with that 45€ brush and the polish it was more than enough money spent.

What did you buy??

Guinevere
