KIKO Haul
Finally, after everyone living in Vienna has been there, I found time to visit KIKO. I'm sure most of you know KIKO, a make up brand which has all you could need. From skin care to nail polishes. I love it.
It's not allowed to take pictures inside the store and I respect that, so nothing from the inside, but I can tell you, it's clean, neat and organized, just the way I like it.
So, here's what I got:
from left to right including finish:
Sugar Mat 642, Sun Pearl 428, Sugar Mat 641, Sun Pearl 430, 255, Sugar Mat 643
The lovely 218 eyeshadow which you can also use wet:
The nail polishes are goregous and for 2,50€ a great deal, the eyeshadow is buttery smooth and lovely as well, I forgot how much it was, but it wasn't expensive either. Have you been there already??

Review: La Roche-Posay BB Cream
I think we now arrived at the point where BB creams are as common as foundations. *gg*
Another brand - La Roche-Posay - released a BB cream. They surprised me with this cute bag containig the two shades they released.
The shades:
Medium-Dark, Light
Light shade blended:
Medium shade blended:
Now on to the way it looks on my skin. I tried the light one.
Nothing on:
After three hours of wearing it on another day.
So what do I think?
It's okay, but I'm not completley happy with it. The cream never truly blends into your skin. It kinda sits there and you can feel it all day if you touch your face. I don't like that.
Another thing, but I must say this is quite subjective. The coverage is very light as you can see above. It's not a foundation so I guess it's okay, but I prefer a product that can cover some of my redness and there definitely are BB creams that are able to do that.
It's an okay product, but nothing I would go for. I want a natural feeling and at least some coverage.
Love,
Guinevere

Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots Collection
In July, Maybelline will release two cute polka dots topcoats - a pink (Speckled Pink) and a black one (Chalk Dust).
I had the pleasure to test "Chalk Dust". Even though it looks like it has a black base, it's actually a clear one.
Here you can see it gradually. I think it looks best over a coloured base. :-)
three coats, two coats, one coat, just the base colour
I really like it, it looks fun and since it's black and white you can wear it alone or over any colour.

Guinevere

Eis Greissler
Yesterday, I had some time to kill and couldn't believe when I saw this - no line in front of the ice cream store "Eis Greissler".
Since I had time I decided to finally give it a try and I gotta say it was one of the best ice creams I've had in a long time! I chose Alpenkaramell, Butterkeks and Mohn. I get why there's always a line..
If you visit Vienna or just live there, you need to try it.

Review: Origins GinZing Face Moisturizer
It's time to review a new favorite of mine. The "GinZing energy-boosting face moisturizer" from Origins.
It recently launched in Austria and I had the pleasure to attend the press breakfast - I talked about it here.
Let's keep it short. I loooove it. It smells like fresh squeezed oranges and my skin literally soaks it in. That might be an issue for some people that have dry skin. It's a light, oil-free cream full of coffee bean extracts and ginseng, perfect for summer.
So, if you have dry skin, you can use it as serum. I'll do that when it's cold outside, for now the cream alone is enough. :-) The price is another plus, the cream costs 25€, which is great. Usually, you can't get an Origins face cream under 40€.
You should definitely check it out if you need a new, high quality face cream.
Love,
Guinevere

Review: Maybelline Jade Dream Pure 8-in-1 BB Cream
I totally forgot about this little baby, but here we are. The "Dream Pure 8-in-1 BB Cream" by Maybelline Jade.
All of you know what a BB cream is, so I'll skip that part. This one is specifically designed for skin that tends to oily patches and pimples. It perfects and evens out the skin tone while the salicylic acid helps to prevents outbreaks.
It comes in two shades, light and medium - guess what - the shade light fit my skintone!!
Nothing on:
With the BB cream on:
I really, reeeally like it. I didn't need much product and it immediately adapted to my skin. It has a matte finish, which I love as well. I'm not a fan of dewy finishes. I was a bit worried that it would dry out my skin, but luckily I had no issues with it. Coverage is light to medium and it definitely evened out my skintone.
All in all, a gorgeous product in my opinion. Not a foundation but as good as a bb cream gets.

Ebelin Beauty Etui and the endless Rain
It's June, can you believe it? If you live in Austria, I can tell you the answer: a big, fat "no!".. We're drowing in rain, literally, several city are fighting with floods.. One of the moments I'm glad to live in a city. My thoughts are with all the families fighting the weather.
A little while back ebelin released some new products. Austria got three: an acetone free nail polish remover, a duo eyeshadow brush and a beauty etui including a nail file and tweezers.
Today, I'll review the beauty etui for you.
It's in a pretty, purple packaging, perfect for taking it with you.
The two items come in the same colour:
As always, I'll keep it short. I was quite disappointed. The nail file is okay, but the tweezers are horrible. They weren't sharpened at all and it was impossible to tweeze my brows..
I wouldn't recommend buying them. It's a waste of money. Invest in a good pair of tweezers, Tweezerman is my favorite brand when it comes to tweezers.
Love,
Guinevere
