Floral Grunge Haul

The Floral Grunge LE has been out for a little while now and I was able to catch myself one of the blushes..

Well, as pretty as it is, the quality is horrible.. Maybe it's just mine, but if not, please don't waste your money. This is a heavy swatch:

Know what I mean? I wish I could return it..

Did you get it? Is yours that crappy as well??

OPI Euro Centrale

I saw the new collection at my Müller and it looks great!

The colour wheel isn't the best swatch reference, but one colour really stands out - Nr. 9 "A Woman's Prague-Ative". It's so beautiful, but for 16€ it was just too expensive. Did you get polishes from the collection??

Love,
Guinevere

NOTD

The sun is finally shining so I felt the need to wear something bright - just like "Bright Tights" from essie. :-)

It's soooo beautiful, but a real bitch as well.. *g* What you see are 6 coats! It's extreme streaky. without a top coat it wouldn't look half as pretty..

Do you own it? It's perfect for the weather.

Burt's Bees Ultra Condition Lip Balm

I got this little guy a few weeks ago and immediately tested it. Lip balms are one of the ultimate beauty basics used by everyone.

Burt's Bees recently launched a new nourishing series consisting of four products.

A Milk & Shea Butter body wash, an Ultimate Care body lotion and hand cream and this Ultra Conditioning lip balm.

Let's take a look at it:

It is full of great ingredients such as kokum, cocoa and shea butter and doesn't have a scent. It's really soft and scientifically proven to moisturize your lips up to four hours.

I was surprised how immediately my lips absorbed it, it felt like they are drinking it. It made my lips soft and lovely. There's not really much more to say. I think it's a great lip balm, but I'm not sure if I would trust it to be strong enough to heal cracked lips. If you have serious troubles with your lips I still would recommend my beloved bebe young care intensive care lip balm.

If you need a new lip balm, it's deifnitely worth checking out. It costs 3,95€ and is available at Müller.

Review: CK One Shock Street Edition!

Happy Sunday guys!

This is really cool - I got my first eau de toilettes to review and not just any. The new and limited ck one shock street editions. Oh how I love special and pretty things. *g*

Before I talk about them, let's get ourselves some eye candy. The bottles were designed by two street artists, a talented woman from the Bronx and a hip guy from Spain. I really like the "for him" design, but I loooove the "for her" bottle.

It comes with a normal bottle top and of course you get a spray pump as well.

Now on to the difficult part - describing the scents. I wish I could keep it simple and just say - they both smell great. *gg*

Let's start with the Street Edition for her:

It's a very sweet, floral scent I wouldn't usually go for, but it's not heavy or overpowering when used moderately. It smells really special, a mix between floral notes and caramel. I'm not an expert, but it feels unique.

Details for our experts:
top notes: tangerine, orange, bergamot, a hint of plum
heart notes: caramelised berries and chocolate donut *gg*
base notes: sandalwood, amber, patchouli, musk

Street Edition for him:

My boyfriend stole this as soon as he saw it and wore it every day ever since. :-) For me, it smells fresh, masculine and after it sets a bit you also smell toffee. I love it.

Details:
top notes: mojito, cucumber
heart notes: spices, geranium, in cocoa dipped raspberries *gg*
base notes: chocolae-tonka bean, a hint of vanilla and caramel

I can recommend both, they are lovely. The eau de toilette for her is a tad sweet and I wouldn't have bought it, but I'm happy to have it. The scent for him is gorgeous. A perfect gift for your man.

They are limited edition and now available at Douglas. Prices: 50 ml 29,90€ 100ml 39,90€ Thanks again to CK for sending me those.

The ULTIMATE Chai Sirup

My fiancé and I went to Julius Meinl at Graben a week ago, just to stroll around and look at all the cool things from other countries. A guy with a sample plate of chai teas stopped me and asked if I wanna try one. I love chai tea, so why not and I couldn't believe how amazing it tasted.

It was/is a sirup you put in your milk or water and it transforms it into the perfect chai tea. I've been trying to make my own (great tasting) chai tea at home for ages, but never got it right. With this, I just have to put a tablespoon in a glass of milk and voilà!

I was sure it would be from the United States, but guess what - the sirup is made in Vienna created by the company Bros! I wish that would have an impact on the prize.. I payed 13,99€ for this bottle at Meinl, the guy told me I'll get 6 litres out of it. I've seen you can get it at Bottelini for 9,99€.

For me, it was definitely worth it. I know the prize is steep, but when I go to a Starbucks I pay 4€ for one cup. I thought I share this with you, cause I'm sure there are many chai tea fans out there.

If you buy it, let me know what you think. I'm sure you'll love it. Gotta go make myself one now..

Guinevere

Review: Garnier Schöne Haut Oil

Shortly, after Garnier released my beloved Fructis Wunder hair oil, they released a body oil for extra-dry skin. It's a clear oil that smells really nice. Please don't ask me how exactly. *gg*

So what do I think?

I'm not completely happy with it.

A big problem is the bottle top. I expected it to be like the hair oil - a pump thingy, but it's a spray which automatically reminds me of sun oil. After you use it, you naturally spread it all over your body, which makes your hand slippery and you can hardly push down that spray top again.

The skin does absorb it quickly, but it's still an oil and that makes this bottle top quite impractical. I really think they should change it into a pump.

The performance itself is very good, but I wouldn't say it's better than my body butters. If the packaging wouldn't be flawed I would give it a full recommendation if you like body oils, but this spray top ruined it for me.

Do you own it?

Review: Garnier Hautklar Fruit Energy Cleansig Mousse

I first saw the Fruit Energy series six months ago in Excalibur City at their DM. Now it founds its way to Austria as well. :-)

I was quite excited about it, but my excitement came to a halt when I saw the target audience.. Oily skin. I have a lot, but luckily no oily skin. So, I was a bit hesitant when I got it.

Nevertheless, I tried it and was surprised by its gentleness. I know I know - it's a mousse it must be gentle, but it still could dry out your skin. The Fruit Energy formula is soft. I used it several times and had no issues with dryness.

So, if you wanna try the series, but don't have oily skin, try the mousse. There is no danger in ruining anything. I use it every other night and love it.

L'Or Sunset Make Up Look

As promised my L'Oréal Cannes look, done with the quad and the mascara which I talked about here.

If you read the other post, the glitter is a bit chunky so you have some fall out, but the extent is okay for me.

Do you like it?

All products performed very well. No creasing or imprints.
