Review: Origins "Checks and Balances" and "A Perfect World" cleansers

Hey guys,

Another Origins review, I have several coming up, so this will be my "Origins Review Week" or so. *gg*

A while ago, I talked about it, one could get an Origins cleansing gel in exchange for an old beauty product at Douglas. See here.

There were two to choose from:
"Checks and Balances" and "A Perfect World"

Since my boyfriend went with me, we each could get one. Hence both :-)

I tested both for a month now, so here my thoughts:

Origins Checks and Balances: This fash wash is made for skin with oily and dry places. I was a bit hesitant to use it, this is exactly for the skin my boyfriend has, but my skin is just normal to dry. So, even though I "feared" some tightness, I tried it - and loved it!!

I was so happy about that, cause I was so sure it would be too harsh, but it wasn't like that at all. It cleans nicely and doesn't dry out your skin. I love using it, when I have some oiliness around my nose and a pimple or so. *g* It has a minty scent, foames wonderfully and one needs only a little amount.

Ingredientwise Origins says: Broad Leaf Kelp Extract discourages excess oil production, while Wheat Protein balances and protects dry prone zones. And Tourmaline actually makes water wetter to more easily disperse dirt and sebum down the drain. There’s also aromatic Bergamot, Spearmint and Lavender to add pleasure to the process.

Origins A Perfect World: I love this cleanser. I love the fresh/fruity smell and how the skin feels after cleansing. The only problem I have with this is the "running" texture. It's pretty sneaky. I got it more than once in my eye, even though I tried to avoid it, but that might be just my clumsiness.

This cleanser is all about prevention and protection. One of the key ingredients is the Silver Tipped White Tea. This is the main ingredient in all their "A Perfect World" products.

Origins says: Palm, Coconut and Oat Amino Acid reach deep to help detoxify and free skin of harmful, free radical-releasing impurities before they settle down and cause skin-aging oxidation, deterioration, dehydration and even some forms of irritation.

I'd say if you tend to occasional oiliness, get the "Check and Balances" to clean and smooth your skin. If your problem is dryness and you want to prevent and protect your skin against bad environmental influences, get "A Perfect World".

I hope this was interesting. I love the quality of Origins products. I know they aren't cheap and everyone has to decide if it's worth spending that amount of money, but you only have one skin. Treasure it.

Love you,
Guinevere

thank you for the review! I purchased some origins products last week and one of them was the perfect world cleanser. Although the smell is a bit strong for me I really like it.
