Aussie @ DM
Excuse my silence, University is killing me.
Tonight I have some pretty cool news for you. Especially for my Austrian followers living in or near Vienna.
Some of you might know that DM in Germany started selling Aussie. So far we poor Austrians are Aussie-less.
But now worries, I have good news for you. A couple of days ago I saw those - in the DM in Excalibur City.
So, if you want some Aussie products, just go there. It's an hour away from Vienna and they also have a big fashion outlet. :-)
Love,
Guinevere
Ps.: I really hope I find more time to blog. I'll do my best. :)

Toni & Guy is another well known hair care brand I discovered. I'm not sure, but I think their products aren't available in Austria as well.

MAC Divine Night Haul & Swatches
MAC's "Divine Night" has been out for quite a while now and I had planned to stay away from it, but then Douglas had a 20% off offer for one day..
..of course I couldn't resist taking a look at it and ended up with two skinfinishes :)
"Perfectly Poised"
"Scene to be Seen"
I hadn't planned to buy the skinfinishes, it's quite a big collection, but they just look beautiful on the skin, see for yourself:
"Perfectly Poised"
"Scene to be Seen"
The shimmer is not too overpowering and it gives you a fresh, classy look. Perfect for winter. :)
By the way have you heard the news - MAC is collaborating with Disney's Malificent movie starring Angelina Jolie! It will be an 11 piece LE including face, eye, nail and lip products. I can't wait!!!! Spring 2014 never seemed so far away.. This collection will kill my wallet.
Love,
Guinevere

Essie Winter Collection 2013, the second!
Remember when I first talked about Essie's new Winter collection? You can see it here including swatches of "Parka Perfect".
I couldn't resist buying two more when seeing the LE in store.
Swatches will follow soon. :-)

Guinevere

"toggle to the top", "sable collar"
"Toggle to the top" such a beautiful glittery shade
"Sable Collar" is quite an unique shade which is tough to capture. It's described as pearly plum.
Swatches will follow soon. :-)

Teachers Log and Nail Polish
It's been a bit quiet here the last couple of days, but for some reason most professors at University assume nobody has to work and we have nothing to do than fill our days with revision and homework..
I know that some of you are studying to become a teacher as well, so I thought you might enjoy some impressions of what happened this week:
I asked my students what their favorite day of the week is. It's one of our current topic with other vocabulary (in our first level) and most answered, what a surprise, Friday or Saturday, but there were a few who said Monday. :) It really made me happy, nevertheless, if I'm honest, my favorite day is Saturday. *Gg*
When it comes to getting the pupils to pay attention, I gotta tell you, changing the seating arrangement can make a huuuge difference.
The third and hardest thing I "learned" this week was that (at least for me) it is incredible though to seperate yourself from throwbacks when something doesn't work out. You're trying and they are just too lazy to learn or even worse - they are trying, but just aren't good enough. That's hard and it feels unfair.
But enough for today with teaching. This week one of the shades I chose was a creme colour - China Glaze's "Vintage Creme", what do you think?
I love wearing different nail polishes at school. If I find time I wear a different one each day. :) A pop of colour, but not too much.
When it comes to my make up, I always wear the same look, a subtle cat eye, nothing too extravagant, but still me.
Have a great Sunday.
Love,
Guinevere

Review: L'Oréal Nude Magique Eau de Teint
L'Oréal released a new foundation which is supposed to feel "lighter than water" on your skin. Let's take a closer look.
Before I start talking, let's show you some before and after photos:
Before:
After:
My thoughts:
It has a very liquid texture. You need to shake the foundation well before using it. Best to repeat that and use what you got on your finger and apply it onto your skin.
I used it with a stippling brush as well and it worked fine. It applies lovely and absorbs quickly. I really like it, but it doesn't have much coverage. Well, no true coverage at all. It evens out the skintone, but it doesn't cover dark shadows or pimples. My skin is very even and I really like the lovely and light feeling it gives me, but if you have problem areas you won't be happy with this.
So, it really depends on your skintype. For me, who often forgets to wear foundation, cause it's not a big problem area, this is a great alternative, like a bb cream, but with a lighter feeling. If you really want a foundation that does conceal as well, I wouldn't go for it though.

Guinevere

Review: Ebelin Make Up & Concealer Brush
I already showed you that we finally have the Make Up & Concealer brush here and now it's review time.
Let's take a closer look:
My thoughts:
I really like it. It's packed with a ton of fibres, but it's not stiff or feels hard on the skin. I read some reviews where people found it too harsh, but in my opinion it's totally fine.
The prize is another plus, 3,95€ for a good stippling brush - hell yeah!
Love,
Guinevere

Current Favorites
It's been ages since I did one of these. Here are the products I've been using all the time lately.
I also have some non-beauty favorites of mine for you:
What are your favorites? Probably one of those I mentioned?
Love,
Guinevere
Let's go into detail. All the products I already reviewed have links on them. The rest I'll review soon:
- Shower Tangle Teezer
- Hansaplast "Anti Calluses" 2in1 Peeling: a 2in1, which is really good if you have difficult feet like mine
- treaclemoon "one ginger morning" shower gel: I love the ginger-lemon scent, I recently discovered it in my local DM. Must be new :-)
- Vichy Idéalia Life Serum
- Sebamed Feet Cream: one of the few feet creams that absorb quickly and make your feet feel nice
- Mac Pro Eye Make Up Remover: a classic, I'm sure you all know it
- Sebamed Frische Deo
- Catrice Liquid Liner Waterproof: my absolute favorite when it comes to liquid liners, easy to use and stays all day
- Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil
- Soap & Glory Quad: review will follow soon :)
- Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer
- Maybelline Fit Me Make Up Stick
- Emite lash curler: I like it more than my shu uemura one
I also have some non-beauty favorites of mine for you:
I love my cat ballerinas and am currently doing the "Fit ohne Geräte" Workout. I actually hate it, but it's quite effective..
My new favorite teacher gadgets:
Facebook stamps with the "I like" and "I don't like". I haven't used them so far, but I'm sure those will be a hit.
Another item I use every day, my beloved chalk pen. It keeps my hands free of chalk dust.
What are your favorites? Probably one of those I mentioned?
Love,
Guinevere

Glossybox Beauty Balance
The new Glossybox arrived last week and finally I have the time to share it with you. Let's look at some pictures:
I think the box is a good mixture of different products and I finally got a mini perfume :). I love the lip tint as well, especially the peppermint smell.
Nevertheless, there are so often hair oils and face creams in the boxes that I think it's too much. I have four of five hair oils by now and serums and face creams as well. While regularly changing hair products is a good thing, I'm not a fan of changing your skin care routine too often.
But that's just my opinion. All in all, I still like the box and it gives you some quality products to try. :)
Love,
Guinevere
