Updated Nail Polish Wall Displays

The last couple of days I cleaned and redid my polish racks, cause many new colours wanted to get their place.. *g*

Unfortunately, there is not enough space any more.. So for now every colour after silver is waiting on the floor. I wish I could order new ones, but at the moment magnonails don't carry them.. :-(

(Final) Bourjous Haul

Since Bourjois is leaving Austria, which I'm sure you all know, I had to buy a few things. *g*

Luckily, there are 50% off of all their products, so it was affordable. :-) I went to the Bipa at the new shopping center at Westbahnhof and they had -15% on everything. *g* So in the end, I saved 65%! How cool's that?

Here is my haul:

The waterproof make up remover, which always interested me. The famous Bourjous Healthy Mix foundation, the Healthy Mix serum and a nail polish. I can't wait to try them, but first I have to show you some close ups of the nail polish. Look at that:

I could have taken tons of pictures of this beauty.. I can't wait to see how it looks on my nails.

You might wonder where the bronzing powder is that is another famous product of this brand, but to be honest, I think this hype is a bit uncalled-for..
I have a bronzing powder by Essence in the exact same shape (not sure if it's permanent), this chocolate bar thing, which smells amazing and performs great. I don't think the Bourjois one can be better than that, except for the fact that it costs way more.

I'm not surprised that Bourjois is leaving Austria. It was just too expensive. I never bought anything for that same reason.. Nevertheless, it's always sad when a make up brand leaves us and I'm sure the Bourjois products are great.

I'm really curious about what will be released instead. I hope we get something cool. The ultimate dream: Illamasqua lol but I'm sure that's not happening. I'd love to have Too Faced or Urban Decay. Well, we'll see. *g*
What would you love to see?

The best lip balm ever!!!!

Over the years I tested many lip balms in order to find THE ultimate one and I can safely say I found it. It's the intensive care lip balm from bebe:

This lip balm is truly the best ever. It heals cracked lips, moisturises dry lips and is just an allround talent. It's a simple white stick and has no scent.

I use it every night before I go to sleep to keep my lips in perfect shape. I can really really really really recommend it and for about 2€ it's a bargain as well.

Review: ghd

Finally *g* I already posted twice about it: *click* and *click* but this is the "real" review and it's going to be enormous. *g*

Where do I start..

Let's do it from the top:

Quality/Finish & Handling

No surprise I know, but the quality is amazing. The styler heats up in seconds and you're informed about that with a nice beep and the heat stays constant, even if it takes you ages to get your hairstyle done, because you're so incapable. *g*

You can touch the styler on the outside without troubles or getting burned. It is perfectly formed, so no dragging on your hair while styling, no matter if you curl or straighten your hair. I don't know how often I had this tugging thing with curling irons..

What annoys me a little bit is that missing holder.. I constantly had the wish to be able to put it on a heat-proof holder while styling breaks. You know when you put clips in your hair or so. For 200€ something like that could be included..

There is no holder in their official shop. I found one on the ghd-store.de site: *click* for 49€, but that is not cheap. I asked ghd and they told me that this holder is an invention of the ghd-store.de guys which are customers of ghd themselves and sell their products mainly online.

There is a reason why there is no holder. Each set includes a cap which is completely heat-resistant and in which you can put your hot styler to safely cool down.

When it comes to the where do I put it while styling? issue: you can put it on all regular surfaces, so no worries there.

In case you don't feel safe enough with that: They sell a heat-resistant mat/bag thing for 25€ in their store.

On to:

Performance & Results:

Again, I'm sure you've already read this a million times before and now from me: This styler is perfection. It's divine. Just as simple as that.

I used it many times and my hair never felt dry after styling, it actually felt softer, healthier and smoother.

One can do so many things with it. It's crazy. I created, as good as I managed to do so lol, the three main looks: curls, loose curls and straight.

Unfortunately, curls look sooooo silly on me. It's really sad, cause I always wanted them. I'm not gonna show you a picture of them, cause I simply looked ridiculous, though the curls themselves were perfect.. *g*

Here are my softer curls:

Lovely curls, but even those don't work with my face.

The look I really loved was the straight hair:

Since my hair isn't wavy I never thought straightening my hair would be something for me, but it totally is! *gg* I love it, it definitely suits me.

In a nutshell:

I love it. I absolutey adore it. It creates incredible hairstyles and is of excellent quality. I've seen people do unbelievable things with this.

It still is pricy, there's no sugarcoating that. Nevertheless, if you ask me, it's worth getting. I've always preferred quality and sometimes it costs and I'm sure this styler will last for the rest of my life. It's a bit like the Clarisonic. Expensive, but I never regretted buying it and always would do it again.

Christmas is coming, so write it on your wishlist girls. :-)

Guinevere
The product was given to me for review.

A**hole of the Day

I'm not a friend of rude language, but this made me so angry...

That was how I found our car after getting breakfast this morning in Retz:

What a moronic asshole..

Luckily, the three men you see in the photo helped me (verbally) kicking his ass when he returned. *gg* Way better than I could have done it on my own.. I'm not good at being mean and I very rarely get angry, but this really freaked me out.

The men recommended calling the police and press charges against him, cause this is not only mean, but actually hindering. I'm thinking about it. *gg* I have a pic of the license plate as well. *gg*

Hope you never have to meet people like that.. What an asshole.. Still makes me angry..

Lee Stafford at Douglas Austria!!! & my Haul

What a horrible post title, but I'm sure you know what I mean. *gg*

I just saw this on K's lovely blog *click* and had to share it with you guys as well.

Lee Stafford, yes the brand with the pink dog, is available at the Douglas online store, the Austrian Douglas online store!! How freaking awesome is that??

I've absolutely fallen in love with the style of this brand and bought quite a few products when I was in Edinburgh, which I forgot to show you by the way. Here they are:

The Argan Oil series is new and I couldn't resist getting it. *g*

The famous hair-growth treatment:

I gotta admit I haven't used them yet, what a surprise, but I will soon and I'm sure I'm gonna be happy with the result.

So convenient to be able to buy them here. If you wanted to try their products, now you can.

Review: Origins GinZing Eye Cream

This review is incredibly overdue, but better late than never. :-) I've used this cream ever since getting it at London and I absolutely adore it.

Here is what Origins says about this little baby:

"Nature's clinically-proven morning-after eye cream instantly reduces dark circles. Unsightly bags and puffiness virtually disappear. And Origins proprietary complex of Caffeine from Coffee bean, Panax Ginseng, Magnolia Extract and natural optic brighteners rapidly wakes up, refreshes and restores radiance to tired eyes."

I totally agree. It brightens my under-eye area and refreshes it. It's no concealer, but there's definitely a visible before and after effect.

It feels tingly, but not in an uncomfortable way. My skin is quite sensitive and I experienced it more than once that those creams which are supposed to have an "refreshing" effect actually burn on my face or eye area. Luckily, the GinZing eye cream is perfectly balanced.

I smells fruity and has a subtle shimmer, but not that stupid kind of shimmer that makes you look like a crystal ball. That naturally looking shimmer which enhances your eye area.

In a nutshell, I absolutely adore and recommend it. I already have a back up and I never get back ups. *gg*

Kate for Rimmel Collection

I saw this in Edinburgh and fell in love. A friend of mine told me about the lipsticks and they were so amazing that I got three. *gg*

..but at the same time I was sad that this wouldn't come to Austria.

On Saturday my boyfriend and I went to Excalibur City which is an hour away from Vienna just after the border and guess what I saw at the DM there:

I couldn't believe my eyes, a full display of the collection!!!

Swatches:

I now own 4 of the 5 available here. *gg* My favorite is the berry one with the nr. 5. The lipstick costs 5,33€ which I think is okay. It's certainly is of amazing quality.

So if you really wanna get your hands on them, you now have the chance to!

Catrice Welcome to Las Vegas Haul

Yesterday wasn't my day, I had university the whole morning and after that I was sooo tired that I slept almost the whole afternoon.

My boyfriend decided that that's not good and lured me out of bed with the words "Müller" and "Retz". *gg*

I slept the whole time in the car though. lol To my suprise we did get to my favorite Müller in time and I bought these:

Look at that lovely polish.

I also got the felt tip liner in Drama Queen and this little fella is unbelievable. Catrice surprises me again and again with its quality. This liner lasted and lasted..
After washing my hands several times, I literally had to scrape it off my hand to get it off and I mean really scrape!

Did you buy something? I'm gonna try to get the red polish as well. It looks sooo lovely from the swatches I've seen.

Love,
Guinevere

Current Drugstore Collections

Just thought I share those with you. I took them at a Müller, so I'm not sure if all of those will be available at every drugstore such as DM or BIPA. Buuuut I heard that the new Catrice collection is available at DM's as well. :-)

Have a nice Sunday!

GOSH Haul and Swatches

Another GOSH post, I know. *gg* I wanted to do this seperate for the sake of keeping my posts well organised. :-)

Remember when I showed you the new limited edition collection from GOSH. *click*

I made swatches and ended up getting two products, cause I was so amazed by their colour and quality. :-)

Look at those shadows.. The colour pay-off is divine. They are packed with pigmentation and still smooth.

The lipgloss is nicely pigmented as well and the automatic light that starts shining as soon as you remove the wand from the tube is a cool gimmick.

Cheek & Lip balms:

Surprisingly, the most colour accurate pics are those which I made in store. (The lighter ones)

Nail polishes:

Pretty, right? Very close to the shades of the shadows. I needed three coats for the grey to be opaque, the other two polishes only needed two.

I bought the grey shadow "Light Grey" and the lip & cheek balm "Back to Nature". It's the lower one in the swatches. It's such a pretty colour..

Let me know if you buy something! :-)

Guinevere
