Urban Decay in Vienna!

Hello lovelies,

I'm sure you aaallll know that Urban Decay finally arrived in Austria, but it's still news that deserves celebrating!

Urban Decay is one of those brands that are and always will be really special to me, because I first saw them in real life in the UK and I loved it. So when I was in town I just had to visit the Marionnaud where they have the counter and it blew me away!

I expected a tiny counter with not much to look at, but boy was I wrong! It's a whole area decorated with love, I was so excited, here are some pictures.

Look at that:

I mean do I need to say more??? Just wow. Lately, I've sort of had a lack of inspiration and missed that feeling of joy when it comes to make up, I guess that happens from time to time, but when I stood in that counter area it was all back - the joy, the excitement. I could have stayed for hours.

As you can see they have the Pulp Fiction LE and they will get the "Naked on the Run" palette and the new "Vice" palette!! I didn't expect that we would get the limited editions as well, another awesome fact.

Another thing I loved was the staff, so friendly and adorable. You need to meet Charlie, he's directly from Urban Decay and lovely, just the salesman you wish to have. I always think about working on a counter for a while, I would work with him and Urban Decay in a heartbeat. Maybe they are hiring... *gg*

All in all, it was great to be there, have the products right before your eyes and enjoy looking at everything. If you're wondering - the Marionnaud which has it is the one on Graben. Super easy to find, just get yourself in the U3, stop at Stephansplatz and take the stairs with the sign Graben on it and it's to your left side.

I'll be there soon again, I was with my hubby and since he hasn't got that love for make up ;-), I didn't want to let him wait.

Are you as excited as I am?? Did you visit it already? To my Austrian girls, Charlie told me that on Saturday there will be a feature on Seitenblicke. :)

I wanna go back.. but enough raving, have a great weekend and to all my American followers - I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and are enjoying Black Friday.

Love,
Valerie

Nail Polish Heaven

Hello lovelies,

It's been a while, but here I am. How do you like the new banner? I think it's finally what I wanted.

But now on to this post. Since we moved into our new/old home we've been renovating like crazy. It's not completely by choice, a house built in the 30's is bound to need more than a fresh coat of paint after 70 years.

So even if we've moved in over a year ago, the wall I needed for my nail polish heaven was only finished a couple of weeks ago.

But without further ado here it is and it is PERFECT.

This time I sorted them by brand, everything else was too complicated. *gg*

It even has its own light!

Isn't it perfect?! I absolutely love it, the only "problem" is that it's already full.. *gg* My dad made it for me and I hope he will do one more. :-)

What do you think? Isn't it the greatest thing ever built?

Love,
Valerie

MAC Viva Glam Miley

I'm sure you've all heard of it, but I want to post it as well. :) Miley Cyrus will be the new spokesperson for MAC's Viva Glam beginning next March.

This girl truly changed herself. There was some stuff I wasn't a fan of, the drugs for example, but it's something to successfully get rid of your old image. I like her new look and the new album is nice as well. But back to the make up! *gg*

This lipstick will definitely find a new home! :)

What do you think about those two? They will be fun for sure!

Love,
Valerie

The new Glossybox is here!!

It always feels a little like christmas when the Glossybox arrives. Who doesn't love a package knowing there's beauty stuff inside. *gg*

A nice mix..

Let's take a closer look:

Love me Green face peeling:

Daidermine lifting serum:

Labello blueberry lip butter:

Gliss Kur hyaluron hair serum:

Nicka K New York Colorluxe blush:

It was almost impossible to get colour out of that spongy thing so I opened it and look at that pretty, fresh rose color!

Overall, I think it's a pretty neat box. :-)
  • I won't be able to use the face peeling, since my skin is too sensitive, especially in fall and winter, but for most this might be useful.
  • The Diadermine serum is cool as well, serums are always good. This is supposed for ladies 30 and over, but personally I think you should start with anti age care when you're 25. It's easier to prevent than to get rid of wrinkles.
  • Gliss Kurs hair serum is something I definitely will use. I love hair serums!
  • The lip butter from Labello is the item I'll definitely avoid. Labello is the lip care brand that does nothing but get your lips addicted to the product. You use and use it and it does nothing.
  • Last, but not least the blush. While I wasn't impressed with it with the sponge on I was pleasently surprised by it when I saw and swatched the product directly.
This is definitely one of the good boxes. :) What do you think? Like it?

Love,
Valerie
