Catrice "Neo Geisha" Haul

I didn't expect to find this so soon, but I did - yay! I was quite excited for this collection.

My tiny haul. My first instinct was to buy everything, especially the eye liner patches, but after carrying it around in my shopping bag for 20 minutes I was able to contain myself. *gg*

One shadow, one nail polish and one lip brush.

I know I have enough brushes, but it looks so pretty..

I gotta say the texture and quality didn't convince me to buy it. It was the beautiful design.. For 2,95€ that's justifiable.

The nail polishes are solid shades, this was the one I liked most:

Both green items are named "Planet Tokyo". Did you see the LE already? Will you buy something?

Review: Florena Straffende Augenpflege

I've been using this for quite a while now, so it's review time.

I bought this after my Origins "Starting Over" eye cream was empty. I wanted to try something new and more affordable. I stood in my BIPA for half an hour trying to find the right one.

After a lot of thinking, I thought, well let's go with another natural produt. Something without loads of chemistry.

So, what do I think? I truly like it!

No red dots or any other negative reaction to the cream which is not unusal when I try new face products. It has a plumping effect on my fine lines and feels nice.

What more can you ask from an eye cream? No cream can reverse nature, you'll need botox for that, but for an eye cream which can only do so much, this is a great product I can truly recommend.

Review: Garnier Fructis Wunder Öl

I've seen many reviews of this. Raves really and I gotta tell you, I can only agree. This product is genius!!!!

Some ingredients:

About the oil. I'm alway a bit wary when it comes to hair oils, cause no matter what they say. They always end up making my hair greasy in some sort of way. This doesn't!

This is the first oil I can use close to my head without making anything but nourishing it. Same with the ends of my hair. I usually use it after showering on towel dry hair. On all my hair beneath my ears. It makes them soft and lovely.

It can't imagine my hair routine without it at the moment. So, if you wonder whether or not you should try it. Try it!! I love it and definitely will repurchase it as soon as it's empty.

Guinevere
Product was sent for review.

Lazy Sunday

Those Sunday posts are quite popular and nice. So I decided to join in. :-)

Watched - Silver Lining Playbook, Django Unchained (both great movies)

Listened to - "Gold Dust" by Jonathan Jeremiah. There's a current commercial from e-darling with that song. It's so beautiful..

Read - Rassenwahn by Jörg Gustmann (still reading)

Happenings - went to the Trau Dich! wedding exhibiton with my fiancé (waste of money and time), worked a lot with my dog on his behavior problems, started Weight Watchers again, took a bath every day

Ate - too much chocolate

Drank - Matcha shakes, oat and almond milk (no more cow milk for me)

Enjoyed - thinking about my wedding, where, how many people, which decoration, what dress..

Bought - a bunch of ingredients in a health food store, drugstore LE make up

Images of the week..

On wednesday, I went to an orthopedist and saw something that made me sick, okay a little dramatic, but still.. There was a 3 year old boy with this toy:

A toy I-phone! That's how you imprint a brand in somebodies brain.. Ridiculous. I can't even say why exactly, but it made me mad.

When I was a kid, it wasn't important what brand you wore or used. Nowadays, the kids "need" an I-phone and Hollister clothes with 8 years..

I hope you had a lovely week!

Current Drugstore LE's

I thought you might want a little overview :-) A lot going on right now and I'm already looking forward to Catrice's new Geisha collection.

There are some more that I have no photos of: Alverde Black & Red, Essence Vintage District.

I was really tempted to get the Manhattan polishes and the pretty Misslyn powder, but stayed strong! I'll be in Edinburgh at the end of January (yay again!!!!) and I'm sure I will take some products home with me. *gg*

Tweezerman Harajuku Lovers

I love Tweezerman tweezers and so I couldn't believe it when I saw a Tweezerman display at the Parndorf outlet. And not just any Tweezerman tweezers. Harajuku Lovers tweezers!!!

I love the Harajuku girls and on my favorite tweezers, that's what I call perfect:

It was hard to pick one of them, but in the end I took Baby with me.

They work great and instead of 27€ I payed 19€! I love them!

What do you think of Harajukus??

Essence Hugs & Kisses Haul

Another (Austrian) drugstore haul. But no worries, soon, I'll be in Edinburgh again (yay!!), so an international haul will follow soon.

This collection is quite coveted. Especially, the polishes are the items everyone seems to need as you can see above.

I called the store and was able to reserve all polishes, the palette, the lashes and the blush. In the end, I got only two items. (what a good girl *gg*)

I just had to have that blush, what a great imprint. Lately, more and more of our drugstore brands do things like that. Of course it's not as perfect in quality as the high end items, but still. Kinda makes you wonder why the other products are that expensive..

Doesn't it look lovely?

I only got one of the eight polishes. Four top coats and four base colours. I didn't find the base colours unique and the top coats were nice, but in the end one never gets the effect desired. The red one was the only one cute enough to want it ( for me at least). Sorry for the blurriness.

Did you buy any products of that LE? I'm sure you did. *gg*

Catrice Neonaturals

I didn't expect to find this collection at DM's, but here it was. I was quite tempted, but resisted.

Some nice colours, but all pretty basic. Will you get some? One polish is 2,75€.

Lush Sale the second

The second part of my Lush bathing journey.

Here we have: So White Ballistic. This one looks innocent, but has a pink core, pretty sneaky and fun!

Madame Butterfly is gorgeous as well. The cool thing is that you can use it several times. Just hold it under the running water until there's enough foam for your taste and then save the rest for the next time.

This will last ages, I used it today and it still looks like there's nothing gone. The label thingy is all natural and comes with seeds in it, so you can plant it. I can't remember what kind of seeds they are since I have no feeling for plants. It won't work, I've killed cactuses!..

I got a sample as well. It's a cuticle moisturizer. I had this before, but sadly it dried out.. Curious, how this will perform.

All in all, there's nothing to complain, all of the bath items were lovely and I'm surprised there's still warm water left in our water pipes.. I hope the next sale comes soon, cause I'm too poor for their regular prizes. *g*

Did you get something?

Alverde Black & Red Swatches & Review

Alverde has a new LE and they surprised me with some pr samples. Yay! :-)

I got two of the four cream to powder blushes: Bright Shine, Hot Flame

One of the three shimmer creams: Sparkling Silver:

One of the three liquid eyeshadows: Metallic Silver

The classy red lipstick: Red Love

The Volume Star Mascara in Intensive Grey

and last but not least the mascara duo in Black & Red

Some swatches for you:

Shimmer Cream in Sparkling Silver, below: liquid eyeshadow in Metallic Silver:

Lipstick Red Love, blush Bright Shine and Hot Flame

Before I'll talk about it I'm gonna show you some on-face swatches for you. Always looks different applied.

Finished Black & Red look:

Let's start with the lips, a classy red, simply beautiful. It was a bit difficult to build colour on my upper lip without it immediately getting transferred on my lower lip. I didn't wanna use any other products to correct that, so, other than that, a lovely product!

Next on to the liquid eyeshadow. That was one difficult product.. I really tried, but it didn't get even and the more I tried the worst it got. Intensifying the shade was impossible as well. It got only more blotchy.

Using an eyeshadow base didn't change anything as well. On the left side I wear none, on the right side I do:

I really liked the blushes and usually, I'm not a fan of cream blushes:

Bright Shine:

Hot Flame:

To the mascaras.

The grey one first. I liked it a lot, but you can't see anything of that grey/gold shimmer on darker lashes:

To the black and red duo. The black side did a good job, but it was impossible to top it with the red side ending with a nice result or making the red show up:

All in all, this collection has some really nice products. The lipsticks and the blushes are lovely. The shimmer cream has too large shimmer particles for my taste, but that might just be me.

I can't recommend the liquid eyeshadows, they won't make you happy. The Volume Star mascara is good and a solid product, but you don't see much of the described shade. At least not on darker lashes. The duo mascaras weren't special as well. Other Alverde mascaras will make you happier.

The collection has some timeless items one can use all year round. Except for the liquid shadows and mascaras this LE offers good quality for a great prize.

Guinevere
