Kérastase Couture Styling Launch

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure to attend the press conference of Kérastases new styling range. I'm sure you all know who Kérastase is - a high end hair brand which up until now focused on hair care "only".

In June, Kérastase will release ten styling products exclusively available in salons. Each of those is full oh high tech ingredients designed to cater to all the styling needs one can have. To top it off they got Kate Moss as their muse.

Some impressions of the event:

Two of Austria's top hair artists gave us an insight on the performance and quality of the new styling range. It was quite impressive.

It was high end through and through. The products are developed with love for detail. Scent, feeling, texture, packaging, everything is thought-out. My personal highlight - I got a goodie bag including three of the styling products:

I'm gonna review each product seperately, just so you know what you can expect :-)
  • touche finale: serum for glossy finish
  • mousse buffant: mousse for three-dimensional volume
  • forme fatale: gel for volume and hold
After all this incredible theory, I gotta say I have high expectations. I'll let you know how they work on me.

Review: Maybelline Rocket Volum'Express Waterproof Mascara

May is definitely not my month. Time is running away and it feels like I'm always one step behind..  I wish I'd be one of our pets. How simple life would be. Her for example:

Back to reality. Finally, I'm finding time to write posts again. :-)

Today I have a mascara review for you - a really good one. It's about Maybelline's new Waterproof Rocket Volum'Express mascara.

I'll keep it simple as always - It's great. It lenghtens, gives you volume and doesn't move all day. In addition, it's one of the few waterproof mascara that don't dry out your lashes.

Two coats on the upper lashes and only one on the bottom lashes:

I think I found the mascara I'll wear on my wedding day. :-)

Review: Sleek Blush "Mirrored Pink"

I bought this a little while back and totally forgot to blog about it. It's the limited edition blush "Mirrored Pink" from Sleeks aqua collection and it is amazing.
Some photos:

It has great pigmentation and is smooth. Absolutely lovely. Basically, it's verything you can ask of a blush

Do you own it? Love it as well?

X-Mini Blogger Brunch

Last Friday I had the pleasure to attend the X-Mini brunch. I never heard of the X-Mini before, so I was quite curious.

The look adorable for starters, some impressions:

There are several generations, this is the X-Mini Max Stereo. Here you get two smaller capsule speaker that are magnetic so you can put them together.

The new one is the X-Mini Uno, here you have only one speaker, but it's new ceramic driver makes it even better than the two tiny ones.

It has incredibly amazing sound quality and is so tiny that it fits in every purse. See for yourself:

You can even put them together to get an even louder entertainment, even though one is really enough.

I'm gonna review it seperately as well with a ton of details and pictures, but I can tell you one thing - I LOVE IT.

Essie Neon Collection 2013

I'm always excited to see new essie collections and when there are neons involved I tend to jump around. *g*

Essie released six bright/neon shades. :-)

bouncer it's me: vivid blue velvet
bottle service: bright neon pink
dj play that song: jam-iest neon plum
shake your $$ maker: electric green
saturday disco fever: fire coral
boom boom boom: bright party pink

Essie surprised me with the frog green "shake your $$ maker". The shade I was most interested in:

It's "natural" finish is a semi-matte:

I prefer polishes that are shiny, so I used a top coat:

What you see are three coats. It's really pretty, but for a neon it could be brighter. This is more of a frog green. If you use a white polish as a base you can brighten it up though.

I'm gonna get the plum colour as well I think. Once more essie gave us some beautiful colours in a great quality. Nevertheless, those aren't unique shades. I can't wait to see what comes next.

Will you get some?

Review: Puma Sync

Puma released two new fragrances "Sync Man" and "Sync Woman". Let's take a look at them:

Pretty, right? But they aren't just pretty on the outside. They smell gorgeous! Summery and fresh. My favorite kind of scent.

Let's start with "Sync Woman": The first scent that reaches your nose is a fresh peach and right after that the floral scents come through, but without being heavy. I love it.

The details:
Head Notes: berries, papaya, tangerine,
Middle Notes: Lotus flower, water chestnut
Base Notes: peach, amber, sandalwood

The male fragrance is wonderful as well. My boyfriend stole it immediately and I love it on him. It's fresh and "manly" at the same time.

The details:
Head Notes: lime, green notes, bergamot
Middle Notes: rosemary, lavender, geranium
Base Notes: amber, cedar, guaiac wood

I definitely recommend it. :-)
