Review: L'Oréal Super Liner Silkissime

Today I'm gonna talk about a new liner from L'Oréal which promises silky-smooth application and 24h no-budging thanks to a waterproof formula.

Well, sadly it doesn't do what the packaging promises, but let's take a look at it first. It looks very pretty:

Yes, the application was smooth on the back of my hand, but you can already see - a thin line? Nope..

Here comes my review:  I was quite hopeful, but absolutely none of those hopes were met! None..

Let's start from the top - yes it is silky and smooth, but so silky that it's impossible to create a thin line. The liner is so soft that it broke on my lashes! On my freaking lashes.. I had to sharpen it twice during the eye make up, cause it got so stump so fast.

Another thing was the waterproof thing. Yes, once applied it stayed put which was a pain in the ass, cause I had to clean up and thin the lines with make up remover. It barely worked. That why my under eye area is so red as you can see below.

That's the best I managed after trying to get a decent result for ages:

No, the review isn't over yet *g*. If the liner would have stayed exactly were I managed to get it, okay, but it didn't. A couple of hours later it looked like this:

The last thing I tried with it was using it on the waterline, but no waterproof there..

It was gone after two hours or so.

My recommendation: Don't buy this eyeliner! It's a waste of money. There are many eye liner pencils out there which work so much better..

Have you tested it? Does it work for you?

MAC Archie's Girls "Comic Cute"

The post title is pretty self-explanatory, so just look and enjoy:

It's a lovely shade, but a big pain in the a** as well..

I didn't notice the promised great opacity after one/two coats. Not at all.. That what you see above are 4 coats. The other thing I hated about this is that I couldn't get it to be even. You still did see it after all those coats.. It's not visible on the photos, but it definitely was the case.

We'll besides from that it is a good product. lol I'm sure there are many more affordable similar colours available.

Did you buy it? What is you experience with it??

Review: BaByliss Le Pro 2200 W IoniCeramic Hai Dryer

I got this ages ago and since it's so genius it needs to get its own review.

Let's take a closer look before I talk about it:

As you can see a nice, classy design, you get two caps (which I never use) and the usual settings.

I never thought there could be notable differences between blow dryers, but boy was I wrong.. I got this angel at the Garnier Olia event back in November and didn't use it for months. It just sat there in its packaging on my shelf and I thought well I'll use my other blow dryer til it dies.

Luckily, one day my curiousty and sense of duty to review it got me to unpack and use it and the result was SO amazing I couldn't believe it.

While my old blow dryer needed a good 15 min to get me anywhere this baby did the same job in 5 minutes.   I absolutely love it. It blow dries my hair so quickly and lovely that ever since I first tried it I now blow dry my hair every time after I wash it. It's just so quick and great.

So, in a nutshell, this is an AWESOME blow dryer and if you need a new one, you definitely should think about getting this one!

Review: Manhattan Couture Carnival Eyeshadow Cream

Couture Carnival is Manhattan's latest LE. It's been out for quite a while, but since it's still widely available - let's talk about it! One product of this collection really stands out - the Longlasting Eyeshadow Creams.

I'm quite sceptical when it comes to products like those, cause they never seem to work. They always crease on me. The only cream eye products I usually buy are MAC's Paint Pots or the ones from MUFE.

But after reading some great reviews, I decided to purchase one. "Royal Coolness" A sublte rose shade, not much can go wrong with that shade.

Here's the look to it:

It looks lovely and guess what, at the end of the day it was still there! There was a minimal amount of fading/creasing, but so minimal you didn't notice it except if you were looking for it. I had no eyeshadow over it to set it and it still performed that well.

So, when I saw the LE again, I got two more: "Ballroom Babe" and "Queen's Green".

Swatch-time: Ballroom Babe, Queen's Green and Royal Coolness

You should know that you can't really build the colour to intensify it, but for this wash of colour you see above it's great. I haven't used the green so far, but the brown one did an awesome job as well, so I'm positive the green works too.

All in all, I can say I love these! They definitely should make them permanent and extend the range. At the moment there are five shades. The three you can see above and a rasberry (Raspberry Dream) and a blue (Bohemian Blue) one:

If you still can get your hands on them, try one. I'm sure you'll love them. I might buy the raspberry shade as well.. Hmm... *g*
