Food Porn - Rice Edition

I wanted to share my favorite rice dishes. Honey started cooking for us -> vegetarian food!! He's really good and since I'm not that great at doing anything else than my 4 basic dishes, I'm always happy when he does cook. *g*

I'm a vegetarian, so rice and tofu are regular guests on my diet. All of them are with tofu.

Carotte/champion Risotto:

In german it's called "Reisfleisch", which basically means rice with meat. This is the vegetarian version with tofu. :-)

This is the only risotto I can do and I'm doing the hell of a job. *g* This is parmesan/tomato risotto without tofu.

If you're curious I can share the recipes, but we always make enough for two days in a row. It's handy and we're too lazy to size it down for two people. *gg*

Do you eat risotto and rice in general? I love it.

Since I can have a "power food" meal each day, which means I can eat as much as I want of a certain type of food (like rice, noodles, beans, basically everything) I love these dishes.

Catrice Big City Life Le

I was quite surprised when I saw this in my favorite Müller. Thought it would take longer until it would be released.

I saw this right after an amazing job interview, which I can't talk about, but I felt great, so I got two of the palettes which I truly don't need..

I got the "Paris" and the "Shanghai" palette.

Shanghai:

Paris:

Wat do you think?? Will get them?

I thought about returning them, but what the hell. I'm broke already, but I can honesty say I didn't use my money for crap all month (so far lol). I used it for food (gosh it's expensive. I'm shocked again and again). The vet, cause Kronos decided to get sick again, so it never gets boring and glasses..

Essie Winter Collection 2012

Hey guys,

Yesterday, I got a suprise package from essie and it couldn't have been more perfect. Essie is releasing their Winter Collection full of gorgeous colours. See for yourself:

A selection of colours you probably wouldn't associate with winter, but a genius mix nevertheless. I love that it's not just green, red and gold shades.

We have:

leading lady - sparkling crimson
snap happy - ember vermilion
she’s pampered - luxurious scarlet
beyond cozy - golden glitter
butler please - blew cobalt blue
where’s my chauffeur? - superb turquoise

I got "snap happy" and "leading lady". Such gorgeous colours. I'm gonna show you some swatches really soon!

What I know already is that I'm gonna get the two blue colours "Where's my chauffeur?" and "butler please". I think it's a great mix of shades and not only for winter. :-)

They will be released in November and cost 9,90€.

IKEA "Kupol" Make Up Storage Idea

I've been waiting for years for Ikea to release a handy, pretty and affordable storage system that is good for make up and they finally have done it!!

The containers start at 7€. You can hang them on your wall and they are stackable, another thing I love *click*.

I'm gonna show you mine as soon as I organized my make up in there. Well, a part of it. *gg*
Hope you found this useful.

Pimp your laptop - the nerdy way!

This is for my fellow nerds out there. :-) I'm a huge Harry Potter and The Hunger Games fan. I love those books and I'm gonna get a tattoo as soon as I'm on my desired weight.

So, for now, I had to find something else and when I looked for a laptop skin, I found these. A combination of the Deathly Hallows sign and the mockingjay. Genius:

Vinyl Decals that can be applied to any dry surface. They even stay put on cars. I ordered this one on Etsy, after browsing through other handcrafted fan products.

And here it is, in all its glory :-)

I'm truly happy with it. I love Etsy, always great products made with love.

Alessandro Peachy Cinderella

Yesterday, I was at my parents and saw this lying around, I just had to use it. I think it was in one of her Glossyboxes.

It's named Peachy Cinderella and really pretty.

The only drawback was the application. Streaky and uneven, all in all, I got it to show up nicely, but it definitely could be better. Like it?

Origins Event Make A Difference Plus +

This Monday Origins invited us bloggers to present their new and reformulated Make A Difference Plus + and their holdíday sets at a Blogger Breakfast.. I love Origins and I was sooo excited and just as sick.. The reason this week was so post-dead.

Many lucky bloggers came and took a billion pictures, of course I forgot my camera, so excuse the Samsung photos (though I think they turned out pretty well).

After looking at those gorgeous products, which I wanted to steal, Elisabeth, the lovely manager introduced us to the Make A Difference Plus + cream full of incredible ingredients:

"This rejuvenating treatment fortified with Nature's miracle Rose of Jericho plus a breakthrough Lychee and Watermelon hydra-sustain complex quenches deeper than ever before to help repair the natural moisture deficiency in dry, dehydrated skin. "

It's scientifically proven to moisturize your face for more than 12 hours and keep that moisturized level all day. How perfect is that?!

They created three versions. Dry skin, normal to oily and for oily skin.

I got the normal to oily version. Lately, my skin has been bitching around, so I think this one will be best. I haven't used it yet, cause I wanna finish my Night A Mins cream first, which will only take one more week. :-(

After that we enjoyed an awesome breakfast. We were at the Meierei in Vienna's Stadtpark. Never have been there before, but it's great.

It was a great morning, I wish each Monday would start like that. I can't wait to use it. I'll review it as soon as possible.

Alverde's New Range

A week ago, I was surprised by a package from Alverde including some of their new products! They were really generous, I got quite a few items.

Left to right: Duo Blush in "Phenomenal Pink", Cream to Powder Concealer in "colourless" and the eyeshadow " Golden Orange"

Liquid Eye Shadow in " "Metallic Anthracite"

The Small Size Star mascara in "black" which I adore

Lipstick in "Starlight Coral"

Some overview swatches. Left to right: concealer, blush mixed and seperate, the eyeshadow, the liquid eyeshadow and the lipstick. Click on it to enlarge it :-)

So far, the only product I had time to test was the mascara and it's gorgeous. I didn't expect it to do much with that tiny brush, but it did and it's a perfect mascara. Seperates and lengthens nicely.

I'll do a seperate review and look with it, so you can see what I'm talking about.

As for the other products, I'll keep you posted, one item baffles me though.. The colourless concealer.. I really don't get the sense of that product.. I doesn't cover anything and it vanishes completely, so it couldn't be used as a highlighter for example. Really weird. Do you have any ideas??

Thanks again to Alverde, it was a lovely surprise! It always feels a little like christmas and I truly cherish it.

Love,
Guinevere
