Review: MAC Prep & Prime Fortified Skin Enhancer Neutralize
Today it's review time again. :-)
I bought the MAC Prep & Prime Fortified Skin Enhancer for neutralizing a couple of months ago. *click* So what are my thoughts on it?
Long story short: I like it, but not enough to buy it again. *gg* Let's go a little bit more into detail.
It has a handy and precise applicator:
The first time I used it, it was a disaster. I thought "It's a primer, let's keep it simple" so I put it all over my face, expecting it to do it's job where needed and even out the rest of the face. Major misinterpretation! *gg* My face had a very sickly looking green tint for the rest of the day..
Gosh, I was annoyed.. The next time I really concentrated on the red parts of my face and guess what, it worked quite well. See for yourself (specially for this post my cheek decided to get a red spot):
Before:
After:
Definitely a difference.
Now the big drawback: it's utterly expensive.. 29,50€ for a primer that you can't even use all over your face is much, really much.
Originally, I only bought it cause a friend of mine started working for MAC and she kept raving on about it and that I need to try it - bla bla bla *gg* and I wanted to be a good friend and support her in her new job and since MAC wants each saleswoman to sell three products per customer, I got at least one.
In a nutshell: I'm happy to have it and if it would be cheaper I certainly would buy it again, but as nice as it is, it doesn't cancel out everything and a normal (good quality) concealer can get rid of that redness problem just as well.
I also filmed a review: *click*
Hope this was helpful.

Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo Eyeshadows Swatches & Review
You have no idea how excited I am about this post and it's going to be huuuuge.
Thanks to the lovely ladies from L'Oreal I was able to try these and share my thoughts with you. Here we go:
Thanks to the lovely ladies from L'Oreal I was able to try these and share my thoughts with you. Here we go:
I got six shadows :-)
..Close up time..
Permanent Taupe:
Infinite White:
Endless Purple:
Timeless Black:
On and on Bronze:
Immortal Charcoal:
Swatches of these beauties:
Infinite White, Permanent Taupe, Endless Purple, Timeless Black, Immortal Charcoal, On and on Bronze
I can agree with all the other reviews: the purple colour is very blotchy and uneven in application. I haven't used it on my lids yet, but I'm sure it will perfom the same as it does on my arm..
On to the general review: I love these! Like so many others I find them wonderful in every way. They last all day, don't crease - even without a powder eyeshadow over them - and have amazing colour pay off.
I made some pictures to show you the wear over the day. I used "On and on Bronze" which is a lovely colour everyone can use.
On one side I used a primer underneath (the eye with the star), on the other side nothing, but the shadow itself.
Beautiful, right? What really surprised me was the fact that the primer underneath didn't make any difference.
At the end of the day, almost 10 hours later, nothing had moved. :-) Sorry for the bad lighting. I tried several rooms in our flat and even the cold light inside the elevator.. This was the best shot I was able to make.
So, all in all I can safely say that I'm a huuuuge fan. I can't wait until the other colours will be released. I need to have all of them. Especially, the orange and the green one.
As far as I know these will hit our stores in April, I'm gonna find out how much they will cost asap. Thanks again to L'Oreal for making it possible for me to test them so early.
I hope you made it all through to the end *gg* and enjoyed reading that post.
Love you guys,
Guinevere

Hey guys,
Sorry that I've been so quiet, I'm sick and it sucks.. Here the swatches of the eyeshadow palette and I must say: sadly, those are crap..

Without a brush it's quite hard to use one colour without touching the others. Besides having really bad colour pay off these crumble like hell.. See for yourself:
I swatched these heavily, they still look like I barely touched them..
Luckily, I only payed about 3€ due to their 50% off offer, don't buy them, these suck.. I hope this was helpful my dear ones.

Review: Essence Eyeshadow Base
This is waaaay overdue, but here it is. This turned out to be one of my all time favorites.
Some pics:
Some pics:
A really handy applicator:
It has a nice matte finish and one only needs tiny amounts.
Now on to the review: As already implied: I LOVE IT.
This product is incredible. I was actually quite hesitant, cause Essence already released an eyeshadow primer once and it was horrible. The crappiest primer I ever used.
This primer on the other hand is amazing. I bought a new UDPP in Edinburgh and haven't even opened it yet, cause it's so amazing and I have very oily lids.
It makes your eyeshadow stay put and last all day. No creasing and that for an awesome price. I think this costs less than 3€.
It makes the shadow look more intense as well:
MAC Bio Green:
Sleek's matte green:
Quite a difference. :-)
In a nutshell: In my opinion, this is a real dupe for the Urban Decay Primer Potion and that for 3€. Never thought I would find another primer that works as amazing as the UDPP.
If you need a new eyeshadow primer, try this one! You won't be disappointed. Hope this was helpful.

Guinevere
Milani Haul
This is another "old" haul. Milani had their products on sale and so I just had to get some items I always wanted:
The Jewel FX polishes always seemed promising, I can't wait to try them:
This eyeshadow palette is so pretty and I just looooove greens:
I can't wait to try them and show you some swatches.

Review: Burt's Bees Replenishing Body Bar
I got this a week and damn I was excited:
I never used anything like it before, it's a body soap that you use instead of your shower gel. I know Lush makes them as well, but I don't like Lush, so I haven't tried one. Let's take a closer look:
It's huge *gg*
Comparison:
As said I had high expectations and unfortunately those weren't really met. While it has a nice cranberry smell when being dry, as soon as it gets wet I smell nothing, but the classic scent of soap and it's not a smell I like.
It does make a nice lather and it certainly is sufficient to clean yourself, but no foamy bubbles. Not really a surprise, but I wished there would be at least a few.
In a nutshell, it cleans well and this soap bar will last you for ages. In addition, it's a great product for travelling, but it smells like classic soap without another scent and doesn't foam at all. I want a nice smell while showering and without foam I don't truly feel clean.
Therefore, this is nothing for me. I don't have comparison soaps, so this is a quite specific review. I don't wanna say all body soaps are like that, I can only talk about this one.
I hope this was helpful. :-)
Love,
Guinevere

MAC Naturally
I'm sure you all know that MAC's new collections are released. Naturally and Mineralize Skincare:
I must say nothing is catching my attention, at all, and I'm soooooooooo glad about that. *gg* I'm sure beauty addicts know what I mean, cause this always means I'm saving money which is amazing.
This collection is so boring and I never got the hype about those two mineralize skinfinishes. There are so many out there which are prettier. But I mean to each his own.
I don't wanna know how many people think "what's wrong with this girl? There are other colours out there than green or hot pink". *g* I'm sure this collection will sell out quickly, cause many people just prefer soft and nude colours.
What do you think? Like it?
Love you guys,
Guinevere
