Essence Nail Art Protecting Base Coat Review

I bought this some weeks ago and I thought - hey let's say what I think about it.

I like it! lol I really do, it dries super fast and has a nice texture, not too watery and definitely not too thick, which I hate.

I has a semi matte finish:

So I would totally recommend it and as always the price is unbeatable, I think it is about 2€. :-)

Lost in Space

As promised another make up look..

Wanna know what I used?

Eyes:

I lined my eyes with the black gel eyeliner by Stila, over that I tapped Mac's silver glitter which I mixed with Mac's Mixing Medium eyeliner to make it stay put.
I used a mixture of Gesso and Body Shops silver duo mineralize eyeshadow on my lid (I can't recall the name of the Body Shop duo eyeshadow, if you wanna know it, write me).
I applied mascara and lined my brows with my Impeccable Brow Pencil in Black, over that I used Essence Brow Gel.

Lips:

I used Illamasquas Glactic Lipgloss and over that I tapped a little amount of the Mac silver glitter.

Face:

I used Mac's Pro Longwear concealer on my cheeks and chin, under my eyes I used Mac's Moisturecover concealer. Over that I used my Mineralize Foundation, also by Mac.
I set it with my Kryolan powder and contured my face with NYX matte bronzer in 01.
No blush needed...

What I used in my Halloween Look

I'm sorry that it took me so long, it was a weird week..

Let's start with the eyes:

I started with applying Urban Decay Primer Potion all over my eye area.
Next I drew the outlines of the wing with MAC's Penultimate Eye Liner in Rapidblack which was a real pain.. It just doesn't work well with gel eyeliner or this one, cause it doesn't glide well enough. A liquid eyeliner would be much easier, so if you have one, use it.
After that I filled the area with Carbon eyeshadow and over that applied Young Punk mineralize eyeshadow by MAC slightly wet.
I lined the undereye area with Raven eye kohl by MAC, connected it with the wing and over that I put Young Punk as well to deepen the liner.
After that I applied Givenchys Phenomen Black mascara.
The other eye was the same expect no outlines were needed. I made a cat shaped version.
On my brows I used the Impeccable Brow Pencil in Black.

Face:

I used MAC's Full Coverage Foundation in NC15 to conceal any redness and over that Mac's Mineralize Foundation in NC15. I used my Kryolan setting powder and contured my face with NYX matte bronzer in 01.

Last but not least, the lips:

I tapped, sporadically, MAC's Mattene Bing lipstick over my lips to create a bruised effect.
I topped that with Mac Jampacked lipglass.

Thanks again for the nice comments. Made my day. :-)
I will do more make up looks I promise.

Body Shops new Winter Collection

Body Shop released their winter collection. Here are pics, sorry I forgot my camera, so they are just I-Phone pics, but you get the idea :-)

Unfortunately I gotta say I'm not that impressed. The products are good or the thought behind them is nice, but the endresult is just not overwhelming.

You have the two eyeshadow palettes. I think Midnight and Twilight are the names. They have a nice colour pay off, but are extremely crumbly, therefore you waste a lot of product, which sucks. You have four eyeshadows and one creme highlighter:

There is also an all over sparkle thingy which has lovely packaging:

It is very fine "glitter powder", which can be used everywhere: hair, body, face. As with most products I'm not the shimmer/glitter fan.

And then there are the other products:
Two glosses, 2 nail polishes, 2 glitter pots, 2 liquid eyeliners

As you can see one gloss is colourless, the other a sparkly rose. Nothing special.
The liquid eyeliners are cool, but my eyes started watering and burning when I tried the black once, so I stay away from them, though I love glitter eyeliners..
The two glitter pots are sweeeeeet, but without a sticky base those will fall everywhere.. You can see it in the pic - the rosy/pink glitter went everywhere when I moved my hand.

And the two polishes are okay, but it needs more to impress me.

What do you think??

My Halloween Make Up

I know Halloween is on sunday, I know my favorite holiday. *gg*  But I made this for work, in an extreme hurry, cause I was already late.. *g*

I would have played a lot more with extreme colours, but I couldn't, because I am limited with my colour choice, I already stretched the rules a bit..

Little Nail Polish Haul

I ordered these angels:

It was my first order from http://www.salenail.com/ and I am totally happy with them!! I already placed my second order - the China Glaze Holiday collection.

I bought:

OPI - Who the Shrek are you?
China Glaze - Ick-a-bod-y
China Glaze Mummy may I
OPI - Sparkle-icious

I didn't get Zombie Zest yet, but I will, wasn't able to order it when I tried, but it is available now. I already have the small size of OPI's "Who the Shrek are you?" but I wanted the large bottle, to have enough - the colour is amazing! Sparkle-icious was one of the colours that stood out the most from OPI's Burlesque collection.

Swatches will follow soon. :-)
