Yesterday I had the pleasure to attend the press launch of Maybelline Jade's new make up range "Fit Me". Some impressions, before we talk:
That new product range is really awesome. It consists of a foundation, a powder, a concealer and a blush.
Everything you need for a complete make up. Another thing that is quite unique for a drugstore make up range is the variety they created.
They made three categories: light, medium, dark. Each category has three foundations, three powders and two concealers. So the chance to find your tone is more than good. :-) It's even made easier, cause the products have the same numbers. So, if the powder with the nr. 120 is you tone, all products with that number are a perfect fit for you.
Sleek and professional looking, right? I love it.
There was a short presentation and then the Make Up Artist Boris Entrup, who is quite popular in Austria and Germany thanks to the several Next Topmodel shows, demonstrated the products on models.

He was a nice fella, but I was a bit bewildered by his application techniques.. He used the blush to contour the jaw and nose, a blush for contouring?! A brown blush, okay, but not a pink one.. He applied it over the lips as well..
What I really disliked about him was the fact that he commented on my eye make up twice and what's wrong with it, without me asking for his opinion.. Way to go Boris...
Back to the products. Another plus of these is the price tag:
We were allowed to pick our shade for each product and take it home with us, except for the blush which doesn't have its final packaging yet.
I chose the lightest number (120) for the foundation and powder and number 15 for the concealer.
Swatches will be up soon! I was really impressed by the products. What I already found out and that's quite sad is that the lightest liquid foundation shade is too dark for me. The other two seem perfect!

Ich finds echt schade, dass es die 110 und 115 bei uns nicht gibt, in den USA gibts nämlich ganze 18 Nuancen!! War aber eh irgendwie klar, werd nur nie verstehen, wer diese Entscheidungen für den europäischen Markt trifft.
Ich finde es auch Schade, dass es wieder keine hellen Nuancen gibt. Ich hatte mich schon sehr auf die Foundation gefreut, aber so wird das nichts :(
ja is schon traurig.. tja so lang hier alle braun werden wollen und alles auf "tanning" zugeht, wird das wohl nicht passieren, vielleicht kann man sie ja mal fragen, werd ich machen
das ist ja unfassbar! womöglich noch vor allen leuten? das ist ein no-go, vor anderen über das makeup einer teilnehmerin zu lästern! knigge-urteil: durchgefallen!!!
ich kann ihn schon mal aus dem Grund nicht leiden, weil er alles mit seinen Fingern oder mit den blöden Applikatoren aufträgt und so tut, als ob es die weltbeste Möglichkeit wäre...
furchtbar.. außerdem auch wenn ich mit runterlaufenden Mascara rumrennen wollen würde geht es nur mich was an und was er davon hält kann doch jedem Schnuppe sein.

ich hab es natürlich nachher gleich gecheckt und abgesehen von ein wenig fall out, das ich ja nicht absichtlich mach sonder die mascara die ich grad teste einfach schlecht ist, war es okay und als ich meinte ja das is so passiert meinte er "keine ausreden bei make up!"...
